  9. thanks all putting in my update for the month, just so i don't miss it by accident. i have a bunch of stuff assembled/painted, but nothing pic worthy yet. most likely it'll be another week or so untill i have enough done to justify new pic's. thanks for looking.
  10. Jim, look at the upside, by the time stuff finishes falling off, it'll be like starting a fresh kit
  11. Howard, i met up with Curb and Craig a few times between friday and saturday, but did not get a chance to meet you, perhaps next year. as far as the line to get in is concerned, it was my first time going, and my initial thought was, we are never getting in there [i was in line all the way at the 'back door'], but holy cow, the doors opened, and we were in in a flash! granted, we got there a little early and did stand in line for a bit, but given the fact that entry sheets and admission cost was done while in line, it really sped things up, and before i knew it i was walking around with my chin on the ground looking at all the cool stuff that was there. as we left, i was already rambling on about next year...........

  15. it's all good, just make it here once a month to say 'still here', lot of time left, so when you get time, you're still in
  16. Ray, looking good, i like the red and silver. i have yet to 'stripe' a build of a rig, but you have inspired me to give it a try, keep at it

  21. maybe i need to hit mine again.........
  22. got to my local store 'late', got home from NNL East saturday night, went to ollies sunday afternoon, managed to score these, seemed fairly well picked over when i got there, fewer kits on the shelf then when they had the last sale, [last time was a 'center rack', this time, all were in the 'toy isle' and an 'end cap'], needless to say, my wife was impressed with my cart load
  23. i have gotten into the habit of doing the body first. i tune up the body, then paint it, let it cure, then sand/polish it. after that, i will paint the interior parts to establish the color combo. the rest of the stuff depends on what i feel like working on. after all the engine/chassis is done, i will bmf the body and interior parts that need it, then button up the interior, and put it all together. the build order seems to always change a bit, other than always painting the body first........that way i have some eye candy to look at while i build the rest of the kit, kind of an incentive to keep plugging away.
  24. looking forward to progress pic's on this. i know what you mean about finishing stuff for shows, i got side tracked with 3 builds for NNL East.....
