  1. I have a Elegoo Mars 4 12K and love it. As for size, I do almost all parts. I don't have a demand for bodies, so the cost/benefit isn't there for me. If you want to do bodies on the regular, by all means get a printer that works for that. Me, I struggle to fill my plate a lot of times. I plan my builds and make parts for future builds so I'm not printing one or two parts at a time, but that means opening boxes. While you're thinking of buying a printer, do your research. Check out vids on different ways to print. I used to empty my vat after each print. I was running thru FEP sheets at a crazy pace. I learned to only empty it now when I have a failure (which I haven't had in over a year) and then use the vat cleaning process to harden a thin layer of resin and then pop it out. No alcohol needed. Also look at resin types, consumables necessary, and costs of them. G'luck.
  2. Well even here in the US it may be allowed. Many states require tires to either not extrude beyond the body line, or somehow be shielded to keep road debris from being kicked up and causing an accident, or spray mist from a wet road blinding other drivers. Its state by state over here, but mostly its not legal.
  3. I read today where people are getting hit with enormous tariff charges by carriers. I'll hold off buying anything from overseas until the process is more up-front, and I know the total cost before buying.
  4. Awesome job!
  5. Sweet!
  6. Welcome Beckham!! Glad you could join us.
  7. A couple of builds almost finished!
  8. I used it for a seat cover on a junker, but never thought to try to wrap it around seats. Maybe I'll give that a try!
  9. Awesome work!
  10. 🤣 The only diff is that the Tesla wouldn't run over the kids!
  11. Thanks, I never really change my print params except for temp based on the filament type. I just used the Super Quality setting in Cura with the 0.2 mm nozzle.
  12. My first thought was that a weapon like that requires line of sight, and for that LOS to hold stable throughout the projectiles travel, which would only work if you're targeting fixed sites like buildings or bunkers. Since the projectile doesn't carry an explosive warhead, the hit would have to be dead-on to be effective. I did serve in the military but I'm no engineer, but that limitation seems a deal-killer to me. But hey, I've played video games with handheld rail guns, so what the hey! 🤣
