  1. The gray is rattle can. HD Designs primer gray. Can be bought at Fred Meyer (most of the country called Kroger). Oversea's it won't be available, but basically it's general purpose hardware store rattlecan. Same with the black. The floormats I made in photoshop using photo's of real floormats, in high resolution(300 DPI) then added logo's and printed them out on plain paper with a laser printer.
  2. This is for the Corvette/Mustang GB over on the FSM website. The funny thing is here I'm not a Mustang fan I'm a Vette fanatic, but there were no good Vette kits at the shop last week. So here is my progress so far. Front end is OOB Rear is OOB with an aluminum license plate courtesy of soda can and laser printer. Here is the engine, with a detail master distributor kit, I made angled plug boots for the distributor as per typical Ford, and the firing order is correct. The braided line I can't remember where it came from but the fittings are scratch and the core is solder. I think this engine is undersized as the valve covers are from a different kit and are WAY oversized but the engines and scale are supposed to be the same. I wanted the ribbed valve covers that said COBRA on them so I went with these. I am adding fuel lines, brake lines, battery cables and possibly throttle lines. I'm making resin copies of these wheels to go on it. Last but not least here is the interior so far with custom floor mats. Again Ironic as I am a huge Chevy fanatic, even have a bowtie tattooed on my left ankle. This is just a great kit though. I'm doing similar stuff with my Vette kit that I'm gonna grab for it.
  3. Styling wise I love the front end not so crazy about the back end.
  4. That looks GREAT.
  5. I like when they are done more modern like this. They look great. There was one I saw once I want to do, it was sitting on modern 18" wheels, had a Chev 350 mated to a Porche transaxle, and it was lookin good with a nice modern bright green metallic.
  6. Next to Smokey and the Bandit that has got to be the best truckin movie out there. You did a great job replicating the truck and trailer combo too. Correction I was thinking of every which way but loose, BJ and the bear was the show and the best truck show, and either way the most important part you did a great job with the truck.
  7. I've ALWAYS wanted a model of that in 1973 with 2 doors. I had a friend had one. It was purchased in flat black paint. Found out it had the original deep metallic green paint in good shape underneath it so we ran a host and a bunch of thousand grit sandpaper out to it and removed the black. What a beautiful car it was. Except he had those funky white truck wheels and used all terrain truck tires out back. It did have the factory 304 in it however. It was a Hornet X. Would love to model that car.
  8. I like it. Except for the color Tacoma Washington has had some of them. Of course they have a bit of everything up there, they blend in REALLY well. Maybe some interior mounted lighting equipment instead of a lightbar? Like an unmarked car might have. They do a lot of those here in Portland where I live.
  9. This is the ONLY Toyota I like on the planet. This configuration too. With that particular front end treatment and that spoiler. Neighbor had one once looked great in red with black trim. Wish I knew where I could find him, he owes me money.
  10. Great concept I like this.
  11. I just gotta figure out a way to put some brake discs on there and fine where I put the dashboard. LOL. then I can slap it together and it'll be done. Found the dashboard, now I have to figure out brake discs(calipers not needed), and then figure out how to get the dash to fit. The factory fit of the dash in the kit is VERY poor. As in it doesn't fit. Like the interior tub is 24th scale and the dash is 25th scale.
  12. I've been considering the pinstripe. Either a nice hugger orange, or a silver. The silver would be more subtle and modern, while the orange would be a bit more garish and older style which is kind of what I'm going for. Afterall it's going to have the solid centerline style wheels on it.
  13. Unlike when Chevy botched up the Vette. My favorite car. bean counters. Also have a late model Mustang sitting here. Gonna have to get a classic Stang and a late model Camaro to sit all up side by side.
  14. Ok so here is the updated body. I like this alot better. Honestly the sharp angles as opposed to the flowing organic lines is what I was after. Similar to late 70's early 80's style. I still however like the color combo.
  15. Yes they are. If you need red or black let me know, I'd be happy to send them to you. I believe I still have them in good shape. I can check. I know I won't be using them.
  16. Here is the DoH Daisy's Roadrunner. Obviously I didn't build it from the show. Decided to do it as a curbside with no engine. I would have it all together but I can't find where I put the dashboard. HAH. Once I do I just have to paint the headliner, and slap it together. Pretty much it's all out of the box except for the wheels and the brake discs I will be putting in. Wheels are from Pegasus. Color is testors customer laquer system, Plum Crazy Purple Metallic.
  17. The colors and color location I like. Just not the demarcation line. As for it being straight I'm ok with that too, but the way in which it comes down off there not so much. Which is why I wanted the second opinion. I'll be trying to today to relocate it. The paint is in pre-clear stage so it's fine to alter it. I do realize I have some touchup on the interior door panels on the drivers side at the top where test fitting into the body has torn it up a bit. Not so sure in the pinstripe though, I don't know if I could get it masked well. Which is also why the demarcation line is the way it is. I'm not so great matching it up side to side.
  18. This is the AMT kit, and I've got it in 2 tone, citrus yellow and plum crazy. I like the combo but am not too sure about the demarcation line path. What do y'all think? Interior is white and black, out of the box except for a steering wheel from the Dukes of Hazzard Roadrunner, and a turn signal stalk I made myself. I also added door locks. Engine I drilled the distributor, added detail master plug wires, added heater hoses and made an oil dipstick. Chassis is pretty much stock except I'm adding the traction bars shown. They will have the Lakewood decals which I am also making. License plates I have made up and are waiting.
  19. I would be interested in pretty much every step of the block. Especially the front. I have a mill and lathe I just gotta go pickup. Free of charge, with all the tooling including a rotary table. I just need to pick it up as well as some mills for it.
  20. I have lurked here off and on for awhile, and decided to sign up. I'm a semiregular on finescale.com. As for scale auto myself and the everpresent Adolf Haught(my term) do not exactly see eye to eye, and our last communication was shall we say something less then cordial. Since I moved I can't really run my airbrush which puts pretty much 99% of my aircraft and armor on the shelf and leaves me with pulling down all my automotive kits. So here I am. I don't really have anything finished at the moment, though I do have a police car I just need to add the lightbar and license plates to. I also hang around on scalefirehouse as well.
