  1. It was not. At the time I wanted some nice but inexpensive shelf models I could build quickly. Cheap they were too I was scrounging every dime and saving it for a move. However I had to keep my sanity and had nothing else to do.
  2. AWESOME! I've seen msot of the versions of the movie and they all rocked.
  3. Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff's car has a few. Current Impala police snap has a decent shotgun.
  4. Never never NEVER buy guitar string unless you play. Almost any shop will be happy to hand you any string fragments. Plus you can always ask on here. I ask at the guitar shops when they are working on a guitar, AND I have some around here already as I play, and I same my old strings for modeling purposes. I don't change out my strings very often, but I have 3 guitars.
  5. What the hell, put me in. I just started this, but I think I only have like 3 parts glued together, and I've just been prepping for some of the lighting kit. Polar Lights 1:350 scale Star Trek, The Original Series, USS Enterprise with lighting kit.
  6. Yup no pilot. Believe it or not this was a weekend build. Started Friday evening after work, finished late on a Sunday night.
  7. I would love a scirocco kit, the only VW I like.
  8. Um............................................................................................................. I don't know WHAT to say......................................................................... On any level.................................. 'Cept you do have skillz.
  9. Don't have anything else. That and I like the way it looks. It's not meant to replicate a nice high end tweed or anything. Looks a bit like burlap.
  10. Updates, here they be. The wheels will get more detail then this. Gotta love spray adhesive for flocking. Medical tape for the centers of the seats.
  11. Sharp lookin build. Love Skylines.
  12. I have yet to rebuild these. Though I do intend to do so in the future. These are old photo's of the old builds.
  13. Actually come to think of it I think this might have fell victim to me. I think I was messing around with different wheels or something and something slipped, or my cousin came over and got careless while at work. UGH he's learned his lesson now though. After the last one he knocked off, I knocked him in the head with a wrench. You know it's always nice when people respect your stuff.
  14. The little one still does, but not as much. We used to live in a one bedroom trailer that was tiny. So any finished models went on top the computer desk or up in the cupboard. Now we have a much bigger apartment and I have shelves up in my bedroom for the purpose of display and for sitting stuff while it's drying. LOL I'm going to need to get a new shelf pretty soon for my 3 foot long Enterprise model.
  15. Yeah extremely bright. It's acrylic too IIRC. I have a safe place to put them now. I just need to go buy some more shelves.
  16. I will answer in reverse. Lets just say children have an amazing ability at any age to get up where they can't go and grab things they cannot grab, and get past locks that cannot be gotten past by a locksmith. I think I have a tire and a wheel here somewhere, and that rear axle. They were a bit too young at that time, however the younger one after recently climbing on top the the refrigerator and grabbing my Dragon M1A1 AIM Abrams, that had a freehand paintjob that was done with the actual U.S. Spec sheets for the camo pattern, and destroying it. That thing took me forever to find and then cost me an arm and a leg. So he's finally able to sit.
  17. GOD where to get this stuff. I totally love these 80's Wagons I want them in model form and in R/L. I want a 2door for real, and I'd drive it as a hotrod. I could build a hundred of these and have them all different. woody's lows, rods, 4x4's, family haulers, grocery getters, band mover, etc.
  18. Not my style but you did a bangin job on that. Despite not being my style, I'd still drive it with pride.
  19. HID Lights, House of Kolor Mica shift paint. Custom plates (OHMS is the local model club). Another victim of the kids.
  20. This is another victim of the kids.
  21. This one is in Storage, I need to dig it out and put it back together some parts came off. Might rebuild it and repaint too.
  22. I finished this one, but it's no longer around, one of the ones my kids got to. They got to alot of them unfortunately.
  23. This is a Verlinden Figure I modified to hold a letter. The story this figure tells is obvious. Unfortunately this little gem was in my truck a couple years ago when I was going to be taking it in for display, when it was stolen on Christmas morning and this came up missing.
  24. This is the new mold not the old mold. The camo is freehand, with Tamiya acrylics, and a Precision Aire XFS Pro gravity feed.
  25. I decided to start posting some of my other models, since none of my auto subjects are done, and just showing I can do more. I will build anything other then ships. While I like and respect ships, and ship builders they are just not me. Though I wouldn't be against maybe doing an AC or two or a few subs. Anyhow this is Academy's kit straight out of the box. I did build a specific aircraft, but I don't remember which one it is. The base and stand are built from tubing and a trophy.
