  1. That's blasphemy an A12 chopped to pieces oh the pain in my heart. lol It is an interesting idea looks like a great start. I had an A12 car in the early 80's I sure miss that car now.

  7. Nice job so far slant noses are so sweat.
  8. Build looks great and I am a McNally fan also you are doing his character justice so much so they may send you a cease and desist order. lol Looking forward to more updates on the car and Archie or who ever he may be called.
  9. Very nice work glad you finely got that one beat.

  12. Very nice I like what i'v seen so far.
  13. Not much tonight, did a little detailing on the seats, spent most of my time researching painting carbs I can't seem to make them look even close. While doing that I came across these by Mr Obsessive so I had to have a go at making a set even though they probably wont make it on this build since the battery is in the trunk and the trunk is closed, I don't even want to go there about opening it. lol Anyway this is what I did tonight for fun.
  14. I had a few issues with my motor also but have been able to work them out. Looking forward to your next update.
  15. Jeff there are two hobby shops over here that I have found that carry decent supplies of models and supplies. One in Palm Harbor on US 19 called Hobby House and the other is in St. Pete on Park blvd just west of US 19 called Phil's Hobby shop. That's all I have found that carry evergreen and glues, paints and and such.
  16. Thanks guys I really appreciate when people comment on my builds it really helps me a lot with staying focused and helps me to know what works and what doesn't. Earl that is one sweat Merc you built there, I always welcome others work on my threads I learn a lot from seeing others work, plus I really enjoy seeing other people's perspectives on builds. Thanks for your guys help. Bob
  17. Thanks for the advice John, your right I was supposed to build this one quick out of the box and now look where I'm at and it's still not done 2 months later. I am trying to wrap things up been painting the interior and and rest of the motor pieces, not sure if I will paint the body since I'm a spray bomb guy still and my painting skills are very lacking at the moment. I want to see this one done and I need to build more to get better at the painting and washing and such so I should do less and build more for awhile. I think that will be my approach with the next few builds. Thanks again Bob P.S. not much done tonight just fixed some paint flaws and wired the distributor.
  18. Thanks guy's. Gene the waters just fine go ahead and jump right in, whats the worst that can happen you rip everything apart and start over. The good thing about this is every time I sit down at the bench I learn something new. I guess that's why it takes me so long to do everything, I spend a bunch of time researching how to do something and then its a trial and error till I get it where I can live with it. Hopefully I will get better with time and be quicker with my builds. Didn't get much done last night just painted a few items that's about it.
  19. Motor looks great John, I am really enjoying watching this one come together.
  20. Nice job I really like the poster to go with it.
  21. This is going to be very cool.
  22. Not much accomplished tonight, spent most of the night trying to figure out brake lines to not much success. Only got the ones on the axel to look good and I spent some time detailing the master cylinder. I figured since I was messing with wire I would make the hold down clip for the cap on the master cylinder and then painted it, I think it came out pretty good.
  23. Are'nt doctors great, they either say deal with it or take all these pain pills and live like a zombie. Well hope things better with time. The motor looks great and your buddy looks like a cool dude to hang with.
  24. I'm digging it very nice job.
