  1. What style of rack did you want to go with? The progress on the truck looks great. Your driver side door panel is a little off shape with the door. Also, I don't know how much clearance you have in your door jambs, but if you wrap the door panel in thin styrene(.010, .020) and paint it orange
  2. Bill, is the 1:1 a Brockway 359, or a 759?
  3. I started tooling around with the Cummins. It had been started already by the previous owner of the kit. It was a complete glue bomb. I tore it all back down, filed the necessary parts flat and square, sanded off seams, and made some modifications to resemble an actual NHC 250. The motor will be wired and plumbed as I have decided to hinge the hood for viewing. It was originally going to be curbside with the glue bomb engine. Here's a before Thats all for tonight
  4. This is superb work. It makes me want to throw my builds in the trash. Those spring hangers are amazing, as are the springs.
  5. Thats about what theyre going for. Occassionally you can catch everybody sleeping and get one at a reasonable price.
  6. This is all very useful information gentlemen. Thank you
  7. Excellent work. It's so much more rewarding to correct an incorrect kit. Your work looks spot-on. Heres a link to a similar build that you should check out. This guy went the whole 9 yards on this truck. It was very inspirational. It might be of some help through your build. http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/4/t/127400.aspx?sort=ASC&pi240=13
  8. That makes you a good friend to have Pavel! Too bad Im too far for you to bring me one!
  9. Good lord Pavel!! Thats quite a haul. I cant believe you got two more of the Scania Heavy Haulers. Congrats man!
  10. Jim, they come with a diecast GMC cannonball. I bought a truck and trailer years ago, but the prices have gone ridiculous. I was lucky enough to snag two of the trailers recently at a decent price. Depending on how bad you want one, I may be willing to work a trade on one. Just PM me.
  11. There really needs to be a shakeup in the industry. A few years ago, less than a mile from my house, a truck hauling ice plowed into the back of an SUV that had stopped because the car in front of them was turning. The SUV contained three kids and two adults(an ex coworker of mine). One of the boys is paralyzed, the other has permanent brain damage and will never mature past the age of two and has constant seizures. It turned out that the driver was texting and hit them at full speed of 65mph. In the case of this link I posted, let's not forget this was not just reckless driving, the guy was drunk and high! No one should ever get behind the wheel of anything, much less a truck in that condition. These fleets really need to crack down on who they hire. This could have been my family or your family sitting there in a car. I don't know how the guy survived, but. I'm sure he won't be 100% again. This kind of thing makes me furious, being that I come from 3 generations of truckers. My family has been involved with trucking since the 1940s. To see it digress into this kind of thing is appalling.
  12. I've been steady working on the Autocar, but it hasn't been pic worthy. I've been sanding seams on parts, test fitting parts, and things like that. I robbed some brakes from an Italeri kit for the rear. I attatched the front axle and rock guard and some pieces of the steering. The hydraulic tank has been mounted. The bed and front bumper assembly have been primered. The resin wheels have been sanded to remove mould lines and uneven tread. The chassis is getting closer to primer.
  13. I got a few in from Tower Hobbies today, and a diecast old school Great Dane off ebay.
  14. This happened yesterday about 30 min from my house. Im glad they arrested the pos.Watch the video. The guy was drunk and high. http://m.wdsu.com/news/big-rig-pins-motorcycle-but-its-rider-thrown-off-survives/34655902?utm_campaign=wdsu%2Bnewschannel%2B6&utm_medium=FBPAGE&utm_source=Social
  15. Looking good. I'm glad to see someone tackle this the right way. Keep up the good work.
  16. I snagged these guys from HL over the weekend. The Ford will be a donor for a scratch project, and the Mack is just extra for now.
  17. This is looking great.Nice work on the bed.
  18. Thanks for the help. I'm trying to find an engine to modify into another engine, and just need to rule that one out or not.
  19. all I was able to find is that it might or might not be a GM motor. Care to share what you found?
  20. Can anyone give me any info on the engine in the 1/24 3 ton Opel Blitz kit? Manufacturer? Hp? Gas or diesel(I'm assuming gas)? Thanks in advance
  21. I want to say that Jimb posted some pages on a article that Even Hermel built.Maybe it was posted in the aftermarket section. Hopefully he can post it again.
