Tom: Nicely said!!!!!! Harry: I read on a post last week about the nonsense you have to weed through on a daily basis. "here's your sign" We may not agree 100% on the issues but you do a great job as zoo keeper. I personally don't know how you put up with all!!!! I'd ask for a raise!!!! The thing that make this country so unique is that you have choices. If you don't like H.L. policies or people..... Move on!!!!! pretty simple in my mind. Their are many Hobbies!!!! a small part of their business model caters to model building of the styrene variety. I personally enjoy walking the aisles with a open mind thinking how could I use this or that. Being a artist I find their selection in that department to be excellent! As Sly Said "Different Strokes For Different Folks"

Chuck, Very Impressive Artwork!!!!!! As I mentioned earlier in this thread I don't own any high end Adobe or Corel products. I have X5 still in the package and need to load it to play with it. I have read that the Corel products are more user friendly than the Adobe anyone have any opinions on that? To anyone !!! With the advent of many making decals of cars that were never produced, what type of implications with regards to copyrights come into play? Are people getting the blessings of the car owners yada yada Even though Flex Sign Pro has a excellent vectorizing platform, I use a program by the name of imagaro Z. Very easy to use and has a font Identifier that helps me identify those odd ball fonts that little Billy's Mom used when designing the little league jerseys. Brad and Chuck, Very nice work gentlemen thanks for sharing!!! jwrass

Even though it didn't have a HEMI I always loved Dan Gurneys AAR/CUDAS. Fast in a straight line and could carve curves very well for back in the day. Way ahead of it's time in a go fast package that did it all! Just my opinion!!! The best factory supplies shifter was the Pistol Grip. The ergonomics and look of that shifter begged you to band gears every time you touched it. "RASS"

Jeff, One of the most stunning paint jobs to ever grace a F.C. of any era!!! Lots of old school Kandies and Pearls I would be excited to start the paint as well. Should be a challenge but very satisfying when done! Looking forward to seeing the progress!! Good Luck. jwrass

Brad, I know how addicting the graphics game can be I have not used Any Adobe of Corel products, however they interest me. I use Flexi Sign Pro which is a sign and graphics program that caters to anything of a advertising type graphic needs business. I use it mostly for my Custom Paint Shop for drawing my designs Vectorizing them and cutting masks on a plotter. I use only a fraction of what it can do. I am much like you I can sit with a design for hours and tweak it until my hearts content. The plug in software is the stuff that gets me in trouble. I have serious problem with buying that stuff I have a hard time saying no to software . By looking at your work I could tell you were much more than a novice! Great work Brad!!!! jwrass

Jon, I have used some (still do) Auto Art products and like them (can't completely leave my HOK) but have never used any of the Sparkle Flake they have. I have seen some amazing work that Simon Murray has done with them. How did you like them?(the flake) how did they lay down? Curious to know? Did you stop painting Motorcycles? jrass

Yikes!!! On a day like that I'd read a good book. The picture of the shop looks like the beach! What does the space look like where you plan on putting the booth

Ok so you painted a car in a garage next to a gravel pit and wet the floor down big whop. I bet 75% of the gear heads on this site have done the same thing! If you weren't trying to denigrate a HVAC professional like me James W Rasmussen then why did you bring it up? Yes the Acronym is "keep it simple stupid" Well I guess I am Stupid Art!!!! After all you seem to me the resident expert of all so it must be true! Next time you want to call me Stupid show some class and pm me!

This would be a sealed packaged unit and no house hold components would be used. this would be a purpose built machine. Their are builders who pay thousands for machining centers to make all types of goodies. And many who wait months to paint something waiting for the right weather conditions. Would something like this appeal to many who build? no. But for the professional and to those who take building very serious like the ones who have machine centers I think It may have appeal. This system would be a year round unit with Filtered incoming and exhaust air. Heat, Dehumidification, Reheat and a cure cycle. Digital controls would be used for all sequences of operation to maintain the closest tolerances.

The Industry standard for moving air in a booth is measured in FPM 100 FPM (feet per minuet) velocity (Airspeed). Not CFM ( cubic feet per minuet) Air being moved cubed. Fan Laws and airflow have direct correlations, Space, design, and application dictate air flow.

Geraro, Super trick build!!!! I would love to see some more side shots. Pleassssssssssssssssssssssssssssse

Great Heads Up People! Wish there were more Iconic race cars in their!!! Bigs car and the Chezoom Corvair should be interesting. I know it's about selling as many kits as possible however I wish they would produce some older style iconic INDY and Drag cars. I know it won't happen but it's a dream. I have a few iconic resin Indy cars (unbuilt) and I appreciate all the work the artisans put into the making of these kits. I have seen some great examples of these cars and you would swear they were 1:1 But many of the kits lack much detail, like engines, proper cockpits bla bla. Some of the resin conversion kits are really great, I just wish more were available. -
Mark, I personally wouldn't mess around with the 120/12 volt set up, unless you already have the parts and pieces and money is a concern. Fuses are installed in electrical system races (distribution) to protect wires from failure. Your fuses should be sized by the wire type and the size of the wire you use, also Maximum load in amps the wiring will see! All of this information is readily available with a simple search.

Pete, I don't want to start a war of words with you however I respectfully disagree with most of your post! I work in the commercial HVAC arena (see my profile) and perform and design systems like this on a daily basis (Only not this small) Are you familiar with air flow terminology, the laws, the math and design of such systems? Their are many contradictions in your post. I like to provide the science behind my claims not opinions. I have already provided much of the math and theory to the original poster through pms. He is well on his way to building a successful booth. I'm sure he will back my science.

Quite the slant for sure, I don't know what you would call that contraption but it has no basis in fan laws or air flow laws

Jesse, RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG!!!! With allot of research you can build a fairly accurate facsimile of any race car. However chances of being 100% correct from the Gasser era are pretty slim! Many of those racers changed things on a weekly basis as much of their livelihood was based on weekday match race income. If they found a great combination..... out with the old, in with the new! You had so much freedom from strangling rules formats. I think I would be fairly accurate to say that from the time a car was researched, measured, tooled and made into a model many changes had taken place. Seeing how you live so close to Pomona that may be a place to start. I would go on a feature type weekend of racing. My daughter lived in Manhatten Beach for four years and I went to the Museum each time I went to visit her and each time I was disappointed with the lack of cars there with the amount of space they had for display. If you really want a education in the cars and the stars of the NHRA! Visit Big Daddy's Museum in Ocla Fla. That place is bulging at the seams with iconic cars and hardware of the past and present. Do some brain storming think of a Outlaw type name and do something unique! I love all of Iconic old school gassers and SWC is a favorite! But most of the iconic cars have all been so over done it would be nice to see something different. Their are so many Iconic cars and drivers that were never kitted, maybe give that a shot!
