  1. I was thinking that the reissue was also in a smaller box than the standard models. It has the $1.49 printed directly on the box and the box has the printed artwork paper attached to the box
  2. no dates on box, instructions or decal sheet. only the Troy Mi address on the back of the decal sheet The decals look old and are curled and the instructions look bit yellowed on the outside. My wife found it at Goodwill store some years back but I am not sure if it was before the reissue was released (2008?)
  3. I have what I believe is a original AMT no 232 32 Ford V-8 kit box with some of the left over parts inside. I know there was a reissue of this kit. At a model show and swap meet one of the fellows told me that a few people had tried to sell the reissue as being an original kit . Is there anyway to tell for sure one way or another?
  4. I wouldn't cal my 66 Barracuda "vintage" , "classic yes but not vintage Maybe I missed it but did not see one for Pony Car http://vonskip.com/hotroddictionary.html http://www.rodauthority.com/news/hot-rod-lingo-getting-a-grip-on-the-rodding-lifestyle/ a couple more
  5. Nice , I definitely like it better than the new 1:1 Camaros
  6. when I was painting motorcycle tanks, after I laid down the tape or stencil I would put down a light coat of the base paint or clear then spray the top color.this would help prevent bleed thru on the tape edges.I haven't tried this on a model yet but thought I would mention it
  7. Round 2 shows that kit to be released in May thought about it for a future Hearse project but want the option of buying it my choice no "Model of the month" club for me
  8. At least I was close with a 31 Studebaker President Still fun looking
  9. Jimmy Flintstone has a couple resin bodies of a 59 Hearse . One even calls for the Ecto as a donor
  10. Definitely to big for AMT's 1/25th kits
  11. the Flintstone box says 1/25th scale so that makes it somewhat confusing
  12. Yes I did transpose numbers. I checked the box and it is a 1/25th scale so any Revell 34 ford in 1/25th should work. Thanks Jon update: the 7647 kit they say to use is a 1/24 scale but the box says it is a 1/25th I just checked the body with two of my AMT 34 Fords in 1/25th and it is definitely too big so it must be a 1/24 and the 1/25th on the box is in error
  13. I am new to resin bodies and the one I have (Flintstone 34 ford phantom delivery) calls for a Revell 34 Ford #7467 kit as a donor. Is there a list some where that will tell me what models were reissued under a different number ? There seems to be a few different Revell 34 Ford Kits released over the years but I am not sure if there is any others besides #7467 that will work for me. Some kind of data base that would list which model numbers had the same basic parts would be helpful The reason I ask is that #7467 seems to be a bit rare and it's price is a bit high. Thanks Jon
  14. Yeah some how I got into the "sedan delivery" stage in my life. Trying to build as many Ford (Merc) SD's as I can find. The last time it was Bucket T's
  15. Thanks again , checked out the stores in OC today. Coyote impressed me with the model choices and prices and the friendly proprietor. The Farm store not so much. Lots of choice's but prices on the high side for me. Parking in OC is an experience.
  16. I had stopped building (the last time) back around 1994 But I did not stop buying. I ended up with from 150 to 200 models stashed in the attic. I brought most of them down and started selling the off but I still have about 50 or so left.I find myself with stuff like a 90,91 and 92 Thunderbird Super Coupes I owned a 1:1 91 at the time but 3 off them. A Plum Crazy 57 Chev Funny car ,I am NOT a Chevy fan, a Aluma Coupe??? a Testers Pre Painted Metal Bucket T??? a 92 Mustang a 94 Mustang a 95 Mustang a Mustang Mach III concept and a 59 Ford Galaxie Convert with the 3 piece body what was I thinking At this time I am thinking "future parts donors" one of the last swap meets I went to I planned on selling off some more but only ended up buying 4 kits ,2 of them I had never even thought about building and my Wife calls me "Impulsive"
  17. As I remember in the past I have only worked on one at a time but now I find myself resurrecting My Tweedy Pie project, starting a 26 Ford Sedan delivery a 31 Ford Sedan delivery, a 41 Ford phantom sedan delivery researching and part collecting for the Kookie T. and yesterday I started thinking about a doing the Ala Kart as a sedan delivery. It looks like I will busy during my retirement.
  18. I have been wanting to give Mylar reflective sheets a try
  19. I am just getting back into the hobby. The last time was in the early 90's It has been about a month now and I find my self working on 3 projects and researching my next 2,or is that 3?? So is normal to try to do more than one or should I concentrate on getting one done then moving on to the next ?
  20. Lots of Cruises coming up let me know when and I will look them up for you
  21. Thanks and don't worry I won't tell a soul The last time I was by the Bomber the nose was off something about doing another restore. The Cafe was still there in the back but O haven't been in there in years
