It's all good as far as I am concerned. It's not like your putting a Chevy in a Ford, that's blasphemy

Right in my part of the world . Maybe I will give the guy a call...then again maybe not -
I use AutoAir Colors made by Createx I thin it with distiled water.I can use it over any primer and clear it with any clear. Ican't wait to try Future on it. Reducing or thinning paint for use in your airbrush The general rule of thumb with most Acrylic Colors is reducing it with distilled water until it flows like milk. Please understand here that it depends on how much air pressure you are running and the type of airbrush you are using. A lot of things come into play when finding just the right consistency of the airbrush paint you are using to atomize correctly. The type of airbrush you are using, needle and fluid nozzle size and the air pressure you are using all come into play.

Old Car Mags
Jon Haigwood replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
thanks or the info on Model Car Encyclopedia. I couldn't find the 61 Custom Car Models I did find 1962 mag called Custom Kar also by George Barris ,only one issue. I will look somemore later -
While searching thru the attic I came across a box of old Model car mags, dated from 1960 up to 1995. Lots good tips and reference pics.Found a small one dated 1961 "Custom Car Models" by George Barris, another from 1996 listing all the 32Ford model kit(not model A's). Also found some 1:1 Custom Car Mags, one doing a article on the"new" Mustang and the "new" Valiant Barracuda.Even found one with a fairly large article on the Attempt. I have got to get my scanner fixed and share some of these with you. Anybody else have some Old magazines with great info in them?

I will probably get a table at the next Pacific Northwest Model Car Fest and sell or trade a few. I might even have a couple done to enter -

Not finding much at yard sales but the wife finds a few at Goodwill and Salvation Army. Bought me a 56 Ford P/U complete $5. At Fred Meyers yesterday she bought me two 65 1/2 Mustang Converts and a 1999 Mustang for $6 apiece One day she picked up an original 32 Ford V8 "the Deuce" for 50 cents but most of it was gone, did have a set decals and some other usable parts and the box was in great shape. Now she knows to look inside first and make sure most of it is there. -

I never did much with the SparkleFlakes so I can say how well they work. I will do some test runs when I get my paint area set up. I don't paint motorcycle anymore.

I used Auto-air colors back when I was doing motorcycle tanks and have some left over Sparkle white and metallics when I get my painting area setup I will see how they look to scale.

I don't get disappointed easily . It's not that I have low standards it just that I turn it into a opportunity. I just picked up a Lindberg 29 Ford Custom Rod for $9. Now when I got it home I realized it was not on the top ten list of great kits, more like the bottom ten. But I just looked at as a box of kit bash parts for only $9.. Sometimes model building is more of a challenge than you think.

Plymouth 273 Engine Source
Jon Haigwood replied to jjsipes's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I found these for my 66 build pic is small but they look like the 273 valve covers you are looking for. In 64, 65 were basically Valiants with a Sports roof, in 66 the removed the Valiant badging on the grill and replaced it with a Barracuda. http://www.madmodeling.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/Small+Block+Mopar+Peformance+Valve+Covers.html -
