  1. Just thought I would ask. If anyone has any interest in the Lunar Rover I have several detail pics
  2. I have several photos of this with more info if anybody is interested I did not want to post all 12 at once here If there is interest I can post them or send them
  3. This one should have had wings. Apparently fins weren't enough
  4. Thanks for the comparison. Just getting back into the hobby I have never used any of these products but I have been trying to find something to repaint Blowers Scoops and other small parts that I have to redo do to bare spots from the parts tree and the grooves where the two piece parts come together. I have been using Spaz since it was all the store had in stock. For me it works OK as long as I have the surface smooth with no scratches or bumps. It does not duplicate chrome perfectly but seems to leave a surface that more represents polished aluminum which closer to what the real parts are made from. I believe that the only to perfectly duplicate chrome is with chrome. A small spray can of Spaz for $11/$12 is a bit high so I will be using it sparingly.
  5. At least not made from surgical tubing
  6. It's all a matter of "Diversity" , but then again that's just another thread altogether
  7. Very nice, I once toyed with the idea to build a Ala Kart sedan delivery. With this inspiration I may just got back and do it
  8. Went to a police auction years back and they had a 64 Sport Fury with the Street Wedge seized from a drug dealer. Went for way more than my wallet could bear
  9. Jan and Dean recorded three versions of Dead Mans Curve Versions #1 & 3 - "my frenched tail lights", "the strip was deserted" and "pulled her out and there I was" Version #2 - "my six tail lights", "the street was deserted" and "pulled her out and there we were"

  11. "Mercury Blues" was originally called "Mercury Boogie "written by K.C.Douglas . The info I found states it was written sometime in 1948.
  12. The Automobile Spin was Only music , no lyrics , so it wasn't a song
  13. https://www.flickr.com/photos/iowahawk_blog/sets/72157624508519475/show/ The Hot Rod Lincoln Photos
  14. There was a 66 Hemi Under Glass and a 67 Hemi Under Glass the newer kit seems to be a 67 , the older kit from what I can find out is a 66
  15. So is the new Dart a foreign car ? if so it should be called the Dardo (Italian for Dart)
  16. The there is always Jan & Deans "Schlock Rod" but it's not in the Poll Bucket T deserves a mention also
  17. Hot Rod Lincoln was written about a specific car as described in the song. In the case of Little Deuce Coupe it was written and then a car was found that suited the song for a album cover. In the song the Deuce Coupe there was little to actually describe the car, being only that it was a Deuce Coupe with a flathead mill (actually it was a OHV V8) and a 4 speed stick (actually it was an automatic) Love both cars and both songs but I am still going with HRL They are both on my list of future projects along with the original version of Tweedy Pie with the Flatty
  18. I love all three but I have to go with Hot Rod Lincoln it was based on a real car (currently in a museum in Washington State). I am not sure which one had the most covers but would put my money Hot Rod Lincoln by Charlie Ryan The real Hot Rod Lincoln . Originally it was black but Charlie updated it a few years before he passed.
