  1. I didn't know they came with a "inside"
  2. The owner says it's a 1960 so that would fall right in line with the MGA
  3. Looks it would be perfect to drive to Walmart. Love the double stacked spoilers.
  4. I found this on facebook. I can't seem to ID it it looks a lot like an 427 Cobra but except the roof and the front of the hood opening. I figure one of you experts could ID it http://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/calgary/2-door-coupe-field-find/592051050
  5. I hope it's not a "no-no" to post a kink to another model site,but here is one to a 73 Mach 1 build may help http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/modeling_subjects/f/29/t/80349.aspx
  6. looks like a good kit as long as the big hood scoop is separate Ford used the chrome bumper up until 1972 then due to federal safety mandates all 73 Mustangs had the composite bumpers
  7. interesting, looks like they are big on GM cars
  8. I have a AMT PK 4167 73 Mach I with a bent top and no motor. I just bought it for parts it has the correct grill.if you end up needing one and it will fit what ever you buy let me know and you can have it
  9. The location of the turn front turn signals is wrong on the AMT/ERTL '71 Boss 351 Mustang kit. The MPC Boss 1971 also has the wrong lights. It maybe not be to hard to relocate them to the proper spot Do want Mach or a standard version ? I had a 73 hardtop red with black vinyl top back in the day but it had a six in it.
  10. I always wanted to build a Chevy and put a Ford motor in it
  11. I go some "Days of Thunder" I would like to find a home for LOL
  12. Hall: well forgive me for being so inquisitive; but during the past few weeks, I've wondered whether you might be having some second thoughts about the mission Dave: no not at all
  13. I shiver at the thought of the road rash you could get
  14. I second the getting tips and how tos from this site before you go out and buy much. I know you are just itching to jump right in but if you take it slowly and and think about not only what you are doing but what will be the next steps and how the task at hand will effect it. I am 63yrs old and have been in and out of this hobby a few times and in the short time I have been here I have learned a lot. Don't be discouraged by your work not looking as good as someone else . You are building for your enjoyment not theirs. I don't care how good you are someone out there will do better. Welcome to the hobby and don't be afraid to ask quesions Jon (nice choice on the kit, you can never go wrong with a Shelby)
  15. closed system. maybe a "run It" and shut it down scenario ?
  16. Old School Cool I like it maybe a future project with a 4cy flatty or maybe a straightened slant six
  17. It was most likely easier to tilt the main body than the entire car. the front needed to lift to make room for the rest.IMHO
  18. High Five Seven wheel stander http://drag.race-cars.com/carsales/chevy/1304803524/1304803524pa.htm
  19. As a Big Petty fan and a owner of a 1:1 66 Barracuda I have thought about doing this build. After researching the car I found out that on it's last run it veered off the track and killed a 8yr old boy and injured 8 spectators. Richard Petty was very distraught and gave up drag racing for that and because NASCAR had gave in. This accident was a dark moment in Richards life and I read somewhere that he did not like to even talk about it. So out of personal respect I will not be doing this build. I know others feel differently about and I am not trying to discourage them in building it. This is just my personal choice.
  20. no barcode and price on the end do believe it is a original Thanks for the help Jon
