Nice & clean build. I like that body style. Nice color. Looks like a good kit. I cant say I would have thought about buying that one before. Don't worry, the sun will come out.......oh wait, never mind.
  2. Alright, sorry,1 I thought 1/24 scale cars would be bigger than 1/25 cars. Whatever scale they are, the Coronet, GTX, Charger are made by R/M who made the Cuda in the same scale, and are the bigger ones. As for the 1/25, or 1/24, or whatever the smaller one is, I would use the one that is in the 71 Charger Street Machine version (Orange "Super Bee"). It was a new tool and very detailed. Sorry for the confusion. Darin, I agree with the sound of the V10. Have you heard that red/orange one? I saw it going down Brice road at Mopar Nationals and it sounded like a muscular Indy car (deeper sounding) as it spun the tires down the road and up the bridge over I-70. It converted me.
  3. Man that is a good one. I don't remember seeing this one. Wow. The guy in the background seams out of scale and the foreground is shiny which makes it look like a model, but look at the water on the window and the distortion free glass...... aaaahhhhhhh!
  4. As far as 1/24th, I would stick with the later B body ones (68 Coronet, 69 Charger, 67 GTX, etc). For some reason, I seam to remember the one in my Pro modeler 69 Charger having a little extra detail, but I dont know what. You might want to look at the Cuda one since it looks like you may be smoothing, blending & custom fabbing parts to bring it up to date (and that one has little detail to sand off). I am surprised you are not going with a V10 in it. The Sidewinder would be a good source for that. Keep us posted.
  5. I belong to a club in Columbus Ohio that meets the first Thursday of the month. The meetings move around a little, but you can check the website before you stop by. You'd be more than welcome. http://bsac.topcities.com/
  6. Looks good. Really like the color. I would lower the rear just a bit. I will have to see your "normal" builds. This ones looks great.
  7. While I usually mount the wheels to the suspension, I do not make mine roll anymore. I have had too many instances where they have rolled off tables, stands and even my 1:1 car (from the roof!). It takes me long enough to build a car once, let alone twice! I would like to see your plans for your hindges. Always looking for other ways to do that.
  8. I don't have a good side or top view. I will have to take some, so it might be a little while. The kit was from a company called the goodstuff. I do not know if he is making them anymore. It is way better than the first one I got, from a company I don't want to name here. This is my first resin kit, so it has been off & on again several times. It is stalled again for now, even though I shortened the chassis. Here is a front shot showing the grill. Kepp us posted on yours.
  9. That turned out really nice. I like the Caddy air cleaner. Cant wait to see your next one!
  10. Looks like you are converting the Duster. What pieces are you using? I am interested in the tail lights and grill. I have an old GoodStuff resin of the old MPC body. I only had to shorten the chassis a bit to get it to fit. Keep us posted.
  11. Turned out great! Love the stance. I might have to get one of those.
  12. Great idea. I can see the tail gate having a hole in the middle of it for the fan. Maybe an idea, I was working on a 32 based on a sketch I did a while ago (the 80's when pop up, er out headlights were "in"), I was going to use 928 style head lights that would fold back (in stead of down) & still be visable. Keep us posted.
  13. Turned out great! I really like the blue. Nice job on the wheels.
  14. Well look what I found at a popular Mopar Magazine feature page. Looks like someone is doing a little PS work! Again, great job.
  15. Looks great. Love the color. I also like what you did with the tail lights.
  16. That turned out great! I really like the red over silver on the decals. I have tried to put just plain red decals over black and they get dark. Those really pop. I also really like the plaid on the seats. I thought you were working on one you opened the trunk and doors on. It may be some one else I'm thinking of. It turned out great! Thanks for posting.
  17. Did you happen to get the non-roadster body? If you did, you could actually build this one before I start mine.
  18. Looks good. What chassis did you use or did it come with the rest of it?
  19. Nice to see some of your versions of styling snafus. I do like the Impala.
  20. I agree with Bob, it is nice to see an ol' AMT, especially with all the R/M ones out now. Keep us posted.
  21. Great start! I like how this one is shaping up. I am sure it will be of your fine quality of builds. I'll be looking for the next ones also.
  22. Looks great! You beat me to it. I was going to try to one after I got to drive my boss'. Both of his were V12s. Fun ride! Again, great job!
  23. Wow! Very clean build. I love the whole car, but I really love the interior. Great job!
  24. This is going to be hard. One a week? I thought I was impatient with two a week. Great to have it back though. Thanks Harry.
  25. FYI- Another good source for thin wood to use would be a local cigar shop. Ask if they have any of the divider or seperator sheets. They go in between the layers of cigars in the wooden cases. They will probibly give you a bag full for free. They usually just throw them out.
