Awesome build and great choice of color!

Very nice work! I like the shortened chassis, sets it apart!

Thank you all! I used embossing powder for the carpet. Took a few times to get it right, learned a lesson though. 1 section at a time instead of all at once!

Forgot to mention that I completed this one in 5 weekends! The past 2 years I have completed 6 per year. I'm going for 7 to 8 this year. So these next 2 pics is this 1999 and my first model car as an adult from 2008. Thought it was neat to see where I started! I have sanded it and polished it out twice since completed. It had lots of orange peel when first completed. Lots good to me now! :-)

Quick story first, I'm a huge Porsche fan and owning one was a dream of mine. It was August of 2002 and looking at my funds a used 911 was in grasp. I went to Town Porsche in Englewood, New Jersey and told the salesman what I was looking for. He said we have a great deal on a new 2002 911. I told him what I was looking to spend and this example was only 7k more. "Take a look at it first" is what he said. Walking up to this Orient Red Carrera my mouth dropped! It has a custom set of 3 piece wheels on it already and it's still only 7k more! Something has to be wrong with this. The exterior was absoulty amazing! Then he opened up the door and the beige interior looked like mustard yellow against the Orient Red! I feel they couldn't sell it so they put the wheels on it to spice it up, and it did but you drive from the inside. He tells me lets just take it for a ride. I'm like HELL YA! My first ride / drive in a 911 Carrera and it was just amazing. Long story short, it wasent for me and couldn't shell out the extra cash. It would be another 5 years until I was able to buy one, but it was new and exactly what I had dreamed of! Anyway, there is no model of the 2002 year. The only difference between the 1999 I have built here is the headlights and steering wheel. I built this to remember that bueatiful August day and my first Porsche drive! Hope you enjoy!

Agree with the above comment. Great job on the conversion, looks real nice.

That looks great Jim! Just like I remember from '87. Who makes the kit, and what did you think of it?

Thank you again for the wonderful comments. The 355 was painted with Scale Finishes Ferrari 322 Rosso Corsa. That would be the proper paint code for that year / model. Doing my research there are many different Rosso Corsa's through the coarse of time. Frank

Very nice! I painted mine using the same Model Master J5 but painted the interior black. Great work on this one.

For the past couple years I have been averaging about 6 completed builds. Just made six this year! Won 2 golds, 1 silver, and a "Best of Show" for my Cuda. Very exciting! So here is my class of 2015!
