  1. Love it! And I'm not just saying that because I'm from NY! :-). Have some plans on doing a couple NYP cars this season too.
  2. Great work! I really like it in that color as well. gives me an idea what to do with those Honeycomb wheels!
  3. Thank you all for the great comments! The bead wire was picked up at Michaels. It can be purchased in different gauges or sizes. It's already coated black, but will chip if handled roughly. I have used the thinner gauge for spark plug wiring as well. It's $10 bucks or so and will last a very long time! Hi Mikey, I plan on being at the Shearwater show this April. hoping to get one more done by then as well. See you there!
  4. That looks amazing! Great work!
  5. Thank you all for the positive comments! The spark plug wires are from MCG, and I drilled through the kit supplied dist. I liked the look of the factory rubber cover. It was alot easier drilling one large hole compaired to 9 small ones aswell! Cheers!
  6. Great work on this! Love how you finished the pallet. Great idea having the engine bagged aswell!
  7. Thank you Tom! Here are a few during the build.
  8. It has been some time since my last completed build (Sept 2014). I found this in my parents attic when I was moving to Canada a few years ago. Saved for a time when my skills could produce something acceptable. The time was right! Modifications: 1) rear bumper looked as if it was a GT bumper, so it was reshaped. 2) GT intake was shaped to resemble the Cobra intake. 3) Fan belt had only 1 accesory (A/C), P/Steering would have been in that position so a/c comp went and a modified p/s went in. 4) Coil springs made from bead wire 5) Embroadary thread used to make a wire harness. 6) Wheels thinned down to fit tires. 7) Flocked the interior, clear plastic over the instruments. Painted Ford Teal from Scalefinishes. Happy with the way it turned out. Way to much time on the bench though. Will try to complete my next one alot quicker. On to the pic's,enjoy!
  9. Simply amazing! Great work.
  10. That turned out real nice! The interior looks amazing, and the flat paint fits well. I've had this kit in my stash for some time now, may have to start it soon!
  11. Great work, love the color combo!
  12. Thank you again! This is the first time in a long time that I strayed from Factory Stock. I had alot of fun with this kit and it look foward to the next mild custom, after a few factory stocks of coarse! :-)
  13. Very nice Ferrari, great work!
  14. Thank you all for the great comments. The clear is from scalefinishes.com. It is the 2013 clear which is a high gloss Acrylic enamel.
  15. So I try to alternate my building by doing a full kit then a curbside just to pick up my pace. Not with this one though ! This one took me 2 months, The color was the easy part Dodge PVE Go Mango with is a bueatiful color on this car, and the pics don't do it justice. Depending on lighting it looks somewhat red, orange, and metallic orange. I had a hard time deciding how to lay out my carbon fiber decals. Once I was satisfied with the decals, I didn't like the factory wheels. Ordering a set from Japan (Aoshima SSR's) took 3 weeks so that slowed me down as there was no rush to finish it. It was worth the wait. I usually do factory stock (wheels & color combo's), so this was a nice change of pace for me. I also used the Tamiya photo etch kit which added some nice detail. Comments and criticism welcome!
  16. Amazing job! Everything looks great.
  17. Thank you DynoMight!
  18. Here is the MPC kit which I converted to a '90 to replicate my first car. I agree with 1972coronet on the down falls, the intake manifold looked very small in the engine compartment. I replaced it with the intake from the revell '92 mustang convert, and also used the mass aiflow sensor. Added a sunroof, airbag steering wheel, replaced the C4 auto with a T5 5 speed and shifter, and swapped out the tires. I was very happy with the results.
  19. Looking good Scalper! I have this kit aswell and after seeing the blue cab earlier in this post I may paint mine that color. Will be watching this one!
