  1. I like living in Maine and seeing winter forecasts online for places like Sacramento or Anaheim.. "It's a chilly 57 degrees out there, you might want to bundle up!"
  2. Boat Anchors, we call em around here. Same goes for HAM gear, the older and heavier, the better.
  3. Around here, count on about 10min/hr. for commercials. I use radio as background music for doing homework, drawing, or looking for stuff. I usually just hang out and listen to CDs or records. I've found that an LP is a good way to find obscure songs by an artist. Like I bought an Alic Cooper record just because it had School's Out on it. I ended up forgetting to stop the platter after that was over and found some great songs.
  4. In all, I've only spent about $100 bucks on everything. The turntable, not pictured, was just an Optimus one from Goodwill. The amp, from Dad. Tape decks? Same. CD player came from 'Will as well. My last amp, a JVC, came from the dump. I replaced all the bulbs, caps, and fuses, along with three of the control pots. That's part of the fun, making stuff work.
  5. Different people react differently to different drugs.
  6. I'm pretty sure enamel and lacquer would craze. As for the cans, try cleaning the nozzle from the bottom with a pin to unclog it, or rinse it out with mineral spirits.
  7. I only use the iPad for tunes when I'm not at home. Then, I'm using my stereo. On it I've got a CD changer, two tape decks, a reel-to-reel deck, and a record player. I'm looking to find an eight-track deck just for the heck of it. Just got this record today, as a side note. What do you guys use?
  8. Two people put that together, but you get a cookie for doing it yourself
  9. I've been doing this since I was six. The drill press was the first tool I learned how to use in the shop. I took apart scores of Hot Wheels and Matchboxes, switched wheels, painted em... Good times.
  10. Going by that, couldn't the family sue any other racer for racing with him, the man who sold him the marijuana thus impairing his judgement, or the manufacturer or his car for allowing him to actually participate in the race? I've heard of people suing gun companies for someone getting shot before, so it isn't too far-fetched. If people want money bad enough, they'll go down every stupid avenue they can with their pursuits before it's exhausted.
  11. If it's not too late, I'd love to see how you made that shifter.
  12. Sorry, couldn't tell if you were serious or not
  13. Looks like Krylon Celery in there?
  14. These are two different things. One is malicious, the other is passive. Someone getting hit by a car while on a phone is passive, but approaching a car while high on marijuana intent on causing physical harm to someone is malicious. Also, he didn't deserve to be hit. It just happened by accident. The kid was high and was most likely hopped-up because of the race. Apples and oranges.
  15. Natural selection at work. Do stupid stuff and pay the consequences. Sure, I enjoy my Nintendo, but I don't play it crossing the d--n street!
  16. Chaparral 2J First Gen Ford Ranger/ Bronco II 60s-70s Audi sedans VW Squareback
  17. Ah. See, I have no idea about body styles at all
  18. Would a 1969 Camaro RS grill fit in there? If so, I've got one if you want it. I'm not using the RS stuff on mine.
  19. Oh, Kill Bill Part Two?
  20. Mount the trunk open with a bunch of subs and amps in it.
  21. Grandma used to have a 72 Ranchero that she decide one day would look better in pink. She then proceeded to paint it with house paint and a roller.
  22. Looks nice! Thinking about getting a kit of this to make Clarkson's from the Top Gear UK America Special.
