  1. Nope. Has to be on the shelf for exactly 24 hours before I can buy it. It went out on the floor at 10:30 Saturday, so I couldn't have gotten it until 10:30 today, the time of my fifteen minute break. My lunch was at 12:30-1:00.
  2. And it was the one with the useless little pots of paint and the non-toxic glue that smelled like lemons.
  3. I did have problems, as well. A solution I found: as soon as you enter the page and it loads as far as you can see, hit the X in the address bar. It'll stop the page from loading further and opening the whatever-it-is that it's trying to link to.
  4. I've got maybe 30 cars, ~20 on the bench currently.
  5. Imagine.... you could break in there at night, steal one, and make off with it silently... I can't imagine they'd record ALL the VINs for those... Take a brown Durango from Sector 40, pull one from 39 and put it in 40's place, they couldn't even tell....
  6. Wife told him to get rid of it. Car burned oil. Ran out of money. Really could be anything.
  7. What they usually do with the fledgling business on there is export the production overseas until the company is singularly fiscally viable and able to support itself, then they bring production back to America.
  8. Yesterday at work, someone priced an AMT/Ertl '55 Chevy Stepsidr kit at $2. It sat on the shelf for the rest of the day. The rule at work is an item has to be on the shelf for 24 hours before I, an employee, can buy it. So it was there on my fifteen-minute break today. I went to buy it, and I was informed by the manager I couldn't buy anything on my fifteen-minuter. Dang! Hide it behind some puzzles, go eat trail mix until break's over, then work for an hour until lunch break. Went back out to help with register, ten minutes before my break. The next register over, I see a guy buying some 1/16 NASCAR diecasts... and the Chevy kit. I ended up using my $2 for a couple records instead.
  9. Was able to find a 1/24 scale Kinsmart golf cart for a dollar on my lunch break at work today. Oh, and just got this kit: My first Moebius kit, should be good from what I've seen here. It'll be black with a red roof, chrome steelies, maybe a supercharged V8.
  10. Chop the nose off the Vega from the firewall forwards, reduce the width, and use it for the hood/nose on this thing.
  11. Are the wheels in this kit really wheels, or do they represent fake covers over steel wheels? If they're real wheels, what were they made of: steel or aluminum? I'm about 90% of the way through this kit, and I'm weathering things, so I need to know before I do rust on aluminum.
  12. Well, if anyone wants customer service, come to the Ellsworth Goodwill when I'm working, and I'll be pleased to provided you with great service. Seriously, there's no excuse for working like cr-p. You get paid for it. Whenever I hear anyone complain about their job, it's simple: if you hate your job, find a different one.
  13. I ended up using my kit for parts, as well. One pillar of mine was messed up, then I tried fixing it. After paint, I sat back and looked at it, and it was too obviously messed up. Still, the engine will go somewhere good, as for the seats!
  14. Beefy engine, one-tone paint job, hood optional, whitewalls if you've got em, and steel wheels.
  15. I had the Slant Nose kit. I painted it red, then I brushed all the black trim very carefully. As long as you're not using garbage brush paint, it'll come out fine.
  16. In the next town over, there's a guy who has two Mustang II Fastbacks (Liftback? Hatchback? Whatever. ) and a guy up northern way has a brown Ghia coupè. I'm not ashamed to say the MII is my favorite Mustang.
  17. I can imagine that... "I need a can of varnish for some touchup work." 'Ah, a table?' "No, my car." (point out window)
  18. Think so, I was just hoping they'd be in 1/24 to save time and effort!
  19. Looks like the pipes from here....
