  1. Well, it was payday. That meant going up to Bangor to spend money. At Hobby Lobby, got the MPC Dodge Dart and WWII Jeep and AMT's Ohio George Ranchero for $14 a pop. Also got the AMT Corvair and Crew Chief Blazer at regular price, along with a Testor's diecast trailer kit. All in, $121.26. Well, I earned it... I might as well spend it on some nice stuff.
  2. Well, when I get my paycheck, I'll pick up a couple, a Snap-Kit included. This should be fun. I did the Revell '34 Ford Snap-Kit in two days, and I was really impressed with the quality.
  3. Usually hand-lettering looks shoddy and rushed... this, on the other hand... it's got a very artsy look to it, kinda like an effected picture.
  4. I actually met Mr. King one time in the Bangor Walmart. Quite a nice guy.
  5. One in Bangor is reopening July 1st. 30 years since it was last open! https://www.facebook.com/BangorDriveIn
  6. There's some company I can't remember that makes white-metal kits in HO scale. It's not Jordan, but it's something else... We have one of their Farmall M kits, but haven't built it yet because we don't have the tiny little needle files for to remove all the flash with.
  7. If Hobby Lobby has this in stock, that 40% off coupon isn't lasting long.
  8. Better stock up on candy. Happy birthday.
  9. So after I got the Xbox home, I played GTAV for a few hours, then during Fallout, it told me I needed a passcode to turn off the Family Lock. I didn't get one from my friend when I bought it. I messaged him a dozen times, but 10 hours and no reply. Called tech support, and in a matter of minutes I was able to reset my system with a unique code and now I'm back to playing.
  10. Looks good! I'm getting into custom diecasts more lately due to the availability.
  11. If you were to do that with the bed, it would be more fitting to fade/surface-rust the paint on the body, wouldn't it?
  12. Yep, needs to be an HT. However, I've got a lot on my plate as it is, so I'll have to think of this some other time.
  13. Ugh.... I'd LOVE a '70 Bonneville promo to make into the Ron Burgundy Catalina... however, no model is worth $250.
  14. I get an Xbox 360 tomorrow!
  15. Throw the model kit at him, it'd do more damage. (joke)
  16. I got all of the Parts Pack engines a while ago in a deal on eBay... $10 with free shipping or somewhere close to that. I'll get working on this tomorrow.
  17. What kits are the Hydramatic in? Is there one in resin somewhere?
  18. And this is the idea I'm going for... However, I'm simply doing away with the rear cover (I guess it's a hood) entirely.
  19. I hung an ugly shelf in my closet-turned-workroom yesterday in about 10 minutes. Stud finder, three brackets, six 2.5 inch screws, and a drill. Not rocket science, and a couple extra minutes prevents a shelf from slamming my head into a table of knives and soldering irons.
