  1. It all started with one little story I told Model Brain, here on this forum. Then he gave me a box full with G20 parts and 3 (!!) bodies! It came in earlier, a lot earlier. But I decided it was time to start this project. Jonathan allready did a tremendous job cutting out the windows, their not completly the same, but that will be fixed along the build. I'm happy with this generous gift and will have a blast building it! My plan is to take a old family hauler that has been put away and save it by making it more powerfull and better cornercarving with newer suspension. Any suggestion's on donorkits? This will be a loooong period project because I don't have a lot of money and time. Wheels were leftover from Revell's '69 Corvette and tires are from a C4 diecast wich I tore apart. And the other part of Jon's gift! Hope you guys like to follow it and since this is my first build here I will tell you guys, I not a fast builder. Do you have tips on things I need to pay attention to or donorkits, let me know, I'm still a rookie builder. Jamie
  2. you can create dents with a lighter, heat it a bit and massage it into the shape you want.
  3. I did too, on a abandoned parking lot, it was weak but had character.. The Tahoe is fun too, I like how it looks to, took a while to get used to it, has waaay more power, I did loose control once on a car meet wich filled the car with mud since we had our windows down. I like the outside looks of a '10 Tahoe but the '03 has a nicer interior.
  4. My dad has traded his' in for a 2003 Tahoe, and a buddy has traded his' for a 2004 Tahoe. Another buddy of my is looking to trade his '89 G20 for a newer Chevy.
  5. there's something about the lightblue '75 Fleetwood with lowrider wire wheels that came thru my dream last night.
  6. saw a Avalanche lately, the new totally blacked out rolling in carnaval parade, not special to you guys I know but seeing an US made car in Belgium is becoming rare.... Years back you could spot a G20 conversion Van every hour you were on the road, now 0 in a month. Seen the last one tucked away under trees with no wheels.. Kinda sad, I love G20's
  7. I love camping and campers!! I'll be following friend! But it's bedtime here.. 00:55 in the morning
  8. Belgium's that way too, if it's older than 25 years, you can put it on oldtimer plates and insurance is dirtcheap than, a V8 registered like a normal car isn't payable here.. but we do have American cars running here
  9. in my head, I assemble cars in my head, hotrod them but allways the cars that aren't in 1:24-1:25 Like '64 Coupe DeVille, 78-88 Sedan De Ville, and my beloved dailydriver-offroad toy in my dreams '04 Silverado, black, huge chrome rims and lifted, not much, just clearing '35 tires
  10. My dads pride and joy is a '64 Sedan DeVille, has got a 10 year restoration and won many prizes including a week trip to Turkey! Then he's got a '91 Hearse and a '77 Eldorado. My dad's the Cadillac lover, I'm a Chevy guy. My favourite Cadillac's are the: #1 '64 Coupe DeVille, airride, light paintjob, Sumpreme rims #2 '78-88 Fleetwood, Fleetwood Hearses, Fleetwood Limo's but no 2 door.. #3 '60 Coupe DeVille same style as the '64 above #4 '70 Sedan DeVille #5 '75 Fleetwood #6 '56 2 door, huge soft spot for these all fullsize cadillac's that are rear wheel drive and have V8's
  11. Playing with the phone, browse some model related stuff realizing I did not sleep and its allready light outside
