  1. Like I need another, but you can never have enough. Picked up another Ca Hauler.
  2. Saw this old pete while makin my final delivery of the week.
  3. With some changes it might go into production. From the hood back, it looks like a T700 KW. The hood looks like a bash up of CAT, Freightliner and Paccar. I guess I'm new old school. I don't like it.
  4. There used to be a guy in my town that had 6 of these, the 4 wheel drive versions. He would put 425 Cadillac motors in them.
  5. That's how I did mine, strips of styrene. I never even considered drilling and pinning.
  6. Looks great man. Nice detailing.
  7. Welcome to the forum.
  8. Looks good man. Gotta love wheelbase.
  9. It wouldn't surprise me. I have a couple of coworkers who think my hobby is cool, but they don't have the patience to do it. I have 1 who asks me to build him a truck from time to time. He appreciates it. We go to the LHS, he picks out a truck, paint and asks me what is needed to do some custom touches. Then once his is squared away, he says for me to pick a kit, paint, etc. Now that I don't mind doing. He has the trucks I build displayed proudly and makes sure everyone who comes in his house knows I built them. He's the closest thing to a local modeling friend I have. All my other modeling friends are here.
  10. I have a "buddy" who calls me all the time for help. Whether it be moving trailers around is yard, putting heads on his boat, moving his kids Jr dragsters in the staging lanes while he tends to the other. Invites to his 3 kids birthdays and babyshowers. Now when I call him for help, does he ever return a favor, nope. I invited his family to our babyshower for our first born, does he accept, nope. He's got better plans. I don't have many "friends". The friends I have on here are better friends than anyone I hang out with. The people I've messaged and traded parts with on here are great people. Thanks to all of you by the way. I don't know, maybe it's just a So Cal desert thing.
  11. Incredible work man. Looks awesome.
  12. Looks good. Nice progress.
  13. Looks great Chuck. Very inspiring. It got ideas goin in my head. Nice job.
  14. Yeah, just a bit. 3 to 3 1/2 would be just right.
  15. I saw 6 Teslas, a Vette club, 3 of them goofy lookin 2 seater 3 wheel deals and a really nice 65 GTO. All while driving through Phoenix this morning. Well, except the Vette club, that was on my way back towards Phoenix.
  16. It's never too late. Just get it finished by the end of Nov. Right? That VW is lookin hot. Looks like a hot rod So Cal bug.
  17. This looks like a wild build. Lookin forward to seeing more.
  18. Very nice build. Great detail. I'm gonna steal the embossing powder carpet idea. The wife has a bunch of that stuff. Well done.
  19. The detail looks amazing on that KW. You do some very nice work Ken.
  20. After going back and lookin at all the posts in this thread. My favorite build out of my personal builds, not only is it the only 1/25 Pete, I think it's the most novice. In my area, there isn't any other truck builders that I'm aware of. This forum has taught me so much, met a bunch of cool people and pushes me to do better. The more I push my self, the more I like what I'm doing. Now I don't foresee myself doing an all out weathered build, probably only the dirty DR I need to finish, I see my show truck builds getting more detail, better paint jobs and all around better. I've learned a lot about the after market, that I had no idea was so vast, at least for trucks. I know I've said to you all before, but a big THANK YOU to you all!
  21. Nice clean build. Looks good man.
  22. I'd go side exit, 1 on each side. I think it would cool with a big chrome tip in front of each wheel well.
