  1. Man, this thing looks good. Well done. Now you gotta build another for the rule changes for next season.
  2. I think the problem with NASCAR is the fact it's gone way too commercial. It's in a lot more places than it once was. In some cases, places it probably never imagined or thought it would belong. It's almost shoved down our throats on TV. I think people are just plain tired of the merchandising. The fans still love the racing. But the merch, not so much. Why build a model, when you can buy a diecast, I'm willin to bet is the attitude of a lot of people, for said changes in paint schemes and sponsorships, race to race.
  3. You have my attention! I've pondered the idea of lowering the cab. I'd like to see or at least please explain how you went about it. This is lookin like it's gonna be my kinda build. Lookin forward to seeing more.
  4. Excellent work Pavel. This will be an excellent addition to your shelf. Your attention to detail is second to none. I'd like to see how you have all of your outstanding builds displayed.
  5. It's a good thing you said they're at your work. I'd have a hard believing these "modern" trucks were on your shelf. Just messing with ya man. These look great. That Freightshaker looks like a fleet truck. Nice work man, well done. Hopefully you'll get a chance to have them back, or at least clean them.
  6. Kit bashing is all I use them for, if I even get them. I'm not a NASCAR guy by any stretch of the definition. But, like most have said, nice pieces to use on other things.
  7. Any info would be great. I have an idea that would be using this truck. I think it was Drake who was gonna put this out with some other cool stuff.
  8. I don't blame ya. My next project is snapper body. I'm leary of cuttin it length wise.
  9. And the real thing is taller, maybe it's being nattower makin it appear taller than the resin piece. I'm sure get this straightened out and lookin right. Very nice work so far.
  10. John, you really need to quit with this. Your makin us all look bad. Another amazing build. Excellent work.
  11. Welcome to the forum and back to building. Looks good so far. There's nothing finer than a stretched out cabover Freightliner.
  12. Hope your have a good man. Happy Birthday Carl.
  13. Dude.. 2!!! But as you said, Ebay prices. But still. I really hope Revell reissues it in the near future.
  14. Hey, Boonski. This looks great man. Enjoy your videos too. Awesome work. Glad to see you here man.
  15. Cool build Tery. Can't wait to see what else you have in mind for this.
  16. X3 This is really cool.
  17. Thanks man. The blue letters were a last thing idea. The grille needed something, I think painting the letters was just right.
  18. Very cool. If this were real, it might actually be drivable. The fuel tank has the capacity to go to cruise night and back home. Nice job!
  19. Thanks Carl, Dennis and Dave. It feels good to finish something. Thanks Brian. It was close to being built while I drove. It mostly got built at the hotel. Thanks JC. I'm pretty happy how it came out.
  20. Thanks guys. The more I look at it, the more I think it looks naked. I'm gonna dig up more decals and apply them. Maybe make or have a set of Rough Rider decals made since I'm wanting to do a "team" thing.
  21. Don't get your hopes up on Moebius sending it out into public with 2 holes.
  22. I'll tell you this, I'd get out of the Western turd I'm drivin now to climb into a K100 or a 352. After the first of the year, I know a guy who has a K123 he drove up till about 7 years ago. I'm gonna hit him up about, to restore the old girl.
  23. Man, that paint is shiny! This is an awesome build. I know how your feeling with the hood situation. My Prostar build was the same way. The hood took about 4 times of paint, strip, repeat before it was close enough.
  24. Here it is, finished. It's the Revell Raptor snap kit. I started by bending styrene rod for cage tubing. This was a first for me. I switched out the rims and tires for the ones from the Rubicon kit. The bigger spares are BFG Krawlers, those and the rims are from Fireball. I will be ordering more for my Trophy Truck build. Thanks to those who sent me the fuel cans. The rear lightbar, which is in between the big spares, is cut down from the Rubicon kit. The paint is Duplicolor Dark Ford blue, Duplicolor pure white, and the red is the plastic, cleared with Tamiya clear. The decals are from the Model King F100. I sprayed a coat of Tamiya Smoke over the headlights to tone them down a bit. The FORD on the grille was painted freehand with Model Masters Blue Angels blue, which almost a perfect match to the Ford dark blue. Enough rambling, here are the pics, thanks for lookin.
  25. Final bench update! All I have left is the mirrors and take outside pics.
