  1. I'm a sucker for the Glam Bands(Hair Nation). Poison, WhiteSnake, Dangerous Toys, Mötley Crüe, Def Lep, WASP, Skidrow, Firehouse, RATT, LA Guns, and so on. But I need to focus on something super tedious, I'll mellow it out, some of cheesy love ballads from those bands. I listen to (Octane) Volbeat, Shinedown, Metallica, In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Parkway Drive, and this I'm really diggin on right now, Through Fire. Ozzy's Boneyard, Motorhead, ACDC, Dio, Maiden, Preist, Sabbath, and so on. But I really enjoy the humor on Howard Stern. I know it's crude and over the top. But that's pretty much my sense of humor too.
  2. I was thinkin of stopping by the one in Tolleson tomorrow. It has an area to park a truck. I may be able to talk a friend into lettin me borrow her car to go visit the one in Glendale. I kinda want to pick up another race car hauler for parts. I have an idea for the tractor alone.
  3. Thanks man. I'm not much above the glue on the window stage. I do the best I can.
  4. It is possible. It just takes a little patience, sanding here and there. I've seen a few builds of this kit where the kit wheels and tires looked fine. Just take your time, I'm sure they'll come out great.
  5. Oh, just realized you were talkin about modifying the rims. The front rims, the mounting hole needs to be opened up some and the axle trimmed to get the rim and tire in the right position in the fender. The rear, I fill the hole with left over sprue and putty, let it sit for a couple days. I then drill it out to the size of the axle, which also needs to be trimmed down to get them in the right position. Hope this answers the question you asked.
  6. The 1st truck was a simple remove an axle and shorten the frame. The I lowered by cutting the axle blocks off the leaf springs, then removing the rear shackles off the front spring. The rear, I cut 2 steps off the air bags then gently heated the spring at the forward hanger and brought it all back to sit against the frame. Then the stacks, bumper and visor are Rhino's Truck Parts on ebay. The rear fenders are cut down from a tandem one from P&P, they do not have right now. The second one is stretched using some blank frame rails from Rhino. It is lowered the same way. The stacks and visor are also from Rhino, the bumper I made from stainless strip. The front fenders, I made the skirts from sheet styrene. I also made the chop panels on the doors from styrene and made the cab and sleeper drop panels from styrene angle. The rear fenders are from P&P also. The last one, it's been chopped up pretty good. The sleeper was removed, day cab panel scratched up, the doors cut open, and the frame has been shortened and lowered even more to take away the gaps the low low pro tires would have, those are from Double Take Replicas. The cab lines have been massaged, the wing windows removed and the windshield altered slightly to give the Tim Ahlborn poor mans 379, I've come to call it a po boy 379. The 359 air cleaner cut out on the hood was filled in to run the intake under the hood like a 379. I switched the dash out for a newer styled dash, custom door panels, floor and ceiling with flames cut in them. The seat blocks were removed to allow me to mount the seats on the floor. The stacks, visor and bumper are again from Rhino. The air cleaners I'll be using are from an Italeri 378 kit. I still have a lot to do it, just no motivation. Hope this info is what you were lookin for. If your wondering how I figured the wheel base, I just eyeballed it till it I thought it looked right. If you want more detailed info, I'll dig up the thread where I went into details.
  7. Siriusxm app, Octane, Boneyard, Hair Nation or Howard Stern.
  8. A little modification is needed. Not much. I switch out all of the on mine. Here's what they look like. This is an in progress pic, with aftermarket tires, but Moebius rims.
  9. It is a great kit. I've built a few of them, not a single one straight out the box, every one is modified. As Angel said, the rims and tires can be bit tricky. It is lacking in some details, but a great kit. As far color, I guess it depends on what decals your gonna use. If your torn on color, look at the eecals, pick a set and then pick your color. I've seen this kit in all the colors you mentioned, and they all look great.
  10. Mike, I'll have a look at mine. Yours looks different, if my memory is workin right. I'll post a pic of mine. I believe, from what Bill told me, it was one of the last 379 hoods of his. Oh, and it's for Italeri kits.
  11. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. I've been with thus guy for 2 months now, just about. Guess I'm really making an impression on him. He called me on Sunday to let me know truck assignments were getting changed. I no longer have a shiney hiney. What I got is a brand new 2016 579 Peterbilt, 450 horse ISX Cummins, 10 speed. It's much lighter, rides smoother and it's new. But it's lacking the cool factor. I will make more money with this new ride, so that's the important part.
  12. Just heard the western side of the Phoenix valley, Goodyear, Avondale had power out. I wonder if it's heat related.
  13. Just read a little bit ago that Led Zeppelin was found not guilty of copyright infringement.
  14. It drives great, runs strong. It's a real treat to drive. No eye candy "flashin" by, but lots of compliments, waves and thumbs up.
  15. I'm in Bakersfield today, it's 104. It was 118 on Monday from what I was told.
  16. When I got up and in the truck at the hotel this morning in Goodyear, it was 94 at 2 am.
  17. No, but I did get a lot of the styrene I'm gonna need though. I just need to find the time to get on it. I've been runnin 5 and 6 days a week since I started with this guy. I know things will slow down, I'll get the time. I'll just work and make the money now so I can take it easy when it slows.
  18. This was Glendale Az today at 1130. When I went through Palm Springs this morning at 730 it was 105.
  19. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. My own laziness to dig through pages to find it. I'm wondering what kits have a Duvall style windshield and if they're currently available or hard to find.
  20. Same to you. Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there.
  21. It's kinda funny. I posted the same kits you have. My truck has a few changes and the trailer I switched the kits rims and tires for Moebius, which I guess is becoming my signature, since I do it to just about every one of my builds.
  22. I'm not real find of the fenders either. They don't look quite right. I had a hard time getting them to sit close to equal. On my next one, I'm gone try to scratch up or buy something different. Maybe they're too short, or just not what I think they should look like. Can't put my finger on what's soo wrong with them.
