  1. Ok, I'll tell ya all. Seems like this build has some attention. Since this post will make 2 pages already. A DM600 mobile crane.
  2. Come on fellas. I'm willing to put money on this. It's gonna be real hard to peterize this. I did some Google searching and could not find a 1:1 like I'm picturing in my head. I found a few B models and A-Cars. A dump truck would be cool, but, it's been done before. So would a wrecker, but again, been done.
  3. That looks great, just great. Sometimes I forget this thing is going to have a body. Awesome work man, keep it coming.
  4. Lookin great. Paint looks darned good.
  5. This won't have a 5th wheel. I need to make room. Well. I need to do some test fitting before I let my master plan out of the bag
  6. I think the best thing, for me, is the 1st pictured Baja T/A, with a set of Walker Evans wheels. Maybe there's a caster out there who would willing. I'd be in for at least 5 full sets, right now. Either 37 x 12.50 x 17 or 39 x 13.50 x 17
  7. Figured I'd let it out. This will be my next project after I finish the Volvo. I know what I'm doing with it. I have an image of what it will look like. Now that I have it, I can make it happen. What I'm gonna start off with is stretching the frame and do some sheet, strip, and what not. I hope I have enough of what I need on hand here, or stuff close enough. Any help and heads up would be appreciated.
  8. Here's a teaser. Again, the box itself isn't cleared yet. The skirts are cleared.
  9. Here's the tandems. I still have one more slack adjuster to put on and paint the drums.
  10. Thanks man. I ended up with no rivets. I didn't have material on hand for it and the LHS that has it is an hour away. That and I need to limit my purchases for about a month. I'm takin paid family leave time to spend it with my wife and new son. Good thing I have pretty much everything I need to keep plugging away on just about anything. I got paint on everything before it got too dark. I even sprayed clear on everything but the main body which is awaiting decals. I hope to get those applied this week. I need to get back on the truck and finish it up too.
  11. Thanks Gator. I'm gonna dig around my drawers. I'm hopin I have small enough round stock.
  12. Are you sure? I'm not sure about that. LOL I'm sure you could. You've done a couple here and there. Any tips on how to do that?
  13. Thanks Tom. I hope it looks as good as I'm picturing it will. I decided to scribe some panel lines in the skirts, to give a little more detail.
  14. I'm sure it came from the factory that started it, Mopar.
  15. A little more "quiet" progress. I cut the beginnings of the aero skirts.i still have to make some mounts and support struts.
  16. Hey hey hey. I wouldn't go that far man. I still get glue on the windows. But thank you for thinkin that my work is good. You got some nice work on your bench too.
  17. On certain edges the red looks right, but the big areas it's that "color". With all that work you've put into this, the clear is gonna work. It's gonna work, it's gonna work, it's gonna work. Hope the power of positive thinkin works here. Your Camaros are top shelf man, like I said in that thread. It inspires me to go buy that Foose kit before they're gone. Hobby Lobby here I come.
  18. Get your Camaro restored. Then maybe the bug will bite ya to fix this. FYI...they moved your Camaro to the Big Boys section.
  19. I'll pass. Not much of a band wagon guy myself.
  20. This will be a massive piece. I've often thought of making my own stacks. But with the excellent stuff Ryan puts out, I think why should I bother. It helps keep another aftermarket guy in business. Since I've decided to take paid leave to be here with my new baby and wife, I might just one of my Pete COEs. You've got a nice start here. Lookin forward to seeing what's next.
