Kaci, do you sleep? lol. I think I read you recently retired, I did the same thing about 12 years ago when I retired. I’m still building today, although not as many , age tends to creep up on you. it’s a wonderful feeling knowing you can enjoy your hobby without work getting in the way. Model on my friend!!

Like I said before Kaci, time to head on over to IKEA , 🤪🤪

Kaci, you seem to have a real knack for painting, I’m assuming you use Tamiya paint. In my book as far as rattle can paint goes, it’s second to none

Great job, I love the blue, it’s my favorite color, my build collection has a very disproportionate amount of various blues , my granddaughter always says when I start a new build, “ hey Papa is this one gonna be blue “? -
Wow, and the color is great!

I looked on Amazon and found this. It appears to be cotton with a paper backing that peels off after printing. You guys got my wheels turning again. I will be looking into this idea. I’m always looking for something different to do with seats and door panels to make them look more realistic -
I’ve been around here for about 11 years, you guys have done a fantastic job providing this great source of abundant information for our wonderful hobby.l know it takes a lot of effort to make it function properly. I’m also in favor of some type of pay feature . I also like the idea of a Marketplace. I’m sure any changes you make will be met with some criticism but that’s to be expected.

Display/Storage - How do you do it
Redisetta replied to Donny's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Like Dave said , IKEA has pretty good cases, I have seven of them 🤪, they’re about $85 , but only have three shelves. I have my local hardware store cut three extra shelves at about $7 each. I make my own brackets from thumb screws. So for a little over $100 I get a pretty decent case that will hold about 18 models. Works for me. -
Great build, I especially like the pinstripes

Painting wiring on firewall
Redisetta replied to Redisetta's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Steve, could I respectfully ask about the wire you used in the example of the wiring harness, what size or what type it is ? Again I’m very impressed with your work, its builders like you that cause me to strive to become a better builder Ray -

Painting wiring on firewall
Redisetta replied to Redisetta's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for all the great ideas guys. I have really gotten into engine bay detail lately. I really like your idea of sanding down the firewall and adding real wire , thanks for that Steven. They were all great ideas, you guys are my go to “research center “ lol. I usually don’t post much, but I’m here every day lurking and learning. Ray -
I have done a couple of searches but didn’t see anything on this topic. I was wondering if anyone has any tricks they use to paint the wiring without out it becoming a sloppy mess lol Here’s an example I think of a 69 Impala with a lot of wiring detail

I need to stop lol
Redisetta replied to kacitgirl's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I quit stopping a long time ago lol. Here’s a couple of ideas for glass cases from IKEA . This is about 10 years worth of building after retirement, so yes you need more room my friend 🤪
