From the Revell California Wheels kit... In the picture you can see the mold line high lighted with a pencil, but on top of the fender there is a ridge kind of like a 57. From the resources I have it appears it should not be like this. Seems it should be rounded but not peeked. Is that true? Sorry 56

No idea what kind of work you do, but you'll always need a good table saw. I have an older Delta with a Uni-fence, it sits more than it gets used but when I need it it is there. My bench top sees more action because of its mobility. Are you set up in a shop?

Thanks guys. I do layer the parts. I cut out the backing and shape it to fit. Then cut strips at the width I need, bevel or round off the edges and then glue them to the back piece. I like to place a little weight on the part and let it dry. Trim, sand and fit! -
One of my favorites. I to re-scribed the fins, I glued a piece of styrene to a blade as a spacer then glued another piece over that, longer so it went past the point. This I used as a guide to carefully deepen those areas. Sorry don't have a pic of that tool!

I purchased this AMT 60 El Camino as a Christmas present for myself and will be doing another restore/mild custom similar to the Buick I did this past year. Trying a few things. Workking on a custom grill and light combo. Thoughts?

I would like to remind everyone that there is an "Ignore" function available in your settings. I find that it is most useful in cases like this, you know when the hospitals forget to lock the doors and patients escape!

Model Swap Meets! I have been attending and setting up to sell at least once a year sometimes more for several years now. I enjoy getting out and seeing friends and talking to people. The conversations for the most part are model related but often times bridge into other areas, sports, health, food and of course politics. My observations include but are not limited to, 1. We can be a strange looking group indeed. 2. Some will eat just about anything, almost always leaving something in the beard or on the shirt. 3. We circle the arena like vultures at least four times, just in case we missed something, while keeping watch for that one thing we came for, or the elusive holy grail deal of a life time. 4. My favorite- Vendors are the best! The pros get there early and set up there tables. Then the systematically watch for more vendors to show, like lions at the watering hole, ready to pounce on parts and kits before anyone else does. In fact they are so eager to be the first to attack they can't even wait for you to unpack and set up your own table! I have had guys dig through boxes while I retrieve more boxes! God forbid one should need to use the bathroom! I'm sure there are many more, so how about it. What quirks or other things would you add to my list?

Would this be considered two warning points or are we not using that system any more? I mean I'm just saying! -

They also were not intended to be driven on the street. I remember the original still being more American than European! Are you saying the Corvette isn't Aerodynamic?
