Worked up a new firewall to go with the interior... -
I would like to remind everyone that there is an "Ignore" function available in your settings. I find that it is most useful in cases like this, you know when the hospitals forget to lock the doors and patients escape!

Model Swap Meets! I have been attending and setting up to sell at least once a year sometimes more for several years now. I enjoy getting out and seeing friends and talking to people. The conversations for the most part are model related but often times bridge into other areas, sports, health, food and of course politics. My observations include but are not limited to, 1. We can be a strange looking group indeed. 2. Some will eat just about anything, almost always leaving something in the beard or on the shirt. 3. We circle the arena like vultures at least four times, just in case we missed something, while keeping watch for that one thing we came for, or the elusive holy grail deal of a life time. 4. My favorite- Vendors are the best! The pros get there early and set up there tables. Then the systematically watch for more vendors to show, like lions at the watering hole, ready to pounce on parts and kits before anyone else does. In fact they are so eager to be the first to attack they can't even wait for you to unpack and set up your own table! I have had guys dig through boxes while I retrieve more boxes! God forbid one should need to use the bathroom! I'm sure there are many more, so how about it. What quirks or other things would you add to my list?

That's a very nice, clean Chevy right there...

Would this be considered two warning points or are we not using that system any more? I mean I'm just saying! -

Does that make it a SPORSCULE CAR? -

They also were not intended to be driven on the street. I remember the original still being more American than European! Are you saying the Corvette isn't Aerodynamic? -

It's an impressive car, but! I might be the only guy here that feels that European styling has taken over. I remember a time when American Muscle just looked American. The Viper started the tread and it now continues, IMO. -

Now this makes since! And I under stand what you are saying. Although your fist sentence was "I seriously" -

Great looking Skeeter! It took some real men to race these cars, and I doubt the current nubes from NAPSCAR could compete!.

Thanks Dave, I wish I had thought of that but that was GM's idea. Here's a shot of the engine bay, not that hard to shoe horn in there. I even managed to use the stock exhaust manifolds. -
Spot on Mark, looks real nice, great model!

Here is the interior, a little old and new mixed together. I might add some belts or something but I'm happy with it. They are hard to see once in the body anyway. -
Hello Eric, I like what you have going here, great scratch building, or as I like to say "Imagineering" I like me some 60's show rods too! I built this one a few years ago.

$1.79 the other day, thought I was stuck in a time warp!

Outstanding Modeling! Great to see the transformation from a resin brick into a nice looking van. My earliest car memories are of our families Corvair Greenbrier. When I was about 6yr old, while my dad was working under the rig in the drive. I crawled in under with him and he gave some odd ball wrench so I would feel like I was helping. Well help I did! The wrench just happen to fit the oil pan bolts of which I had promptly removed all but one before dad discovered my mechanical skills. The only thing keeping us from being drenched in motor oil was the gasket seal! Any Nascar pit crew would have been proud at the speed those bolts made their way back in place, my dad was amazing...

Thanks guys, yes Blair I reversed the curve of the panels and then sliced slowly with a #11. Be careful not to lose a finger but don't let the piece get away! -

Worked on the interior some, made new door panels from styrene and removed the latch and crank from a 32 Ford interior. Got the seats sitting nicely also.
