  1. I been searching the internet soaking up all the cool 59's I can find. It will be very subtle what ever I decide to do. I agree Charlie, these were one of the best factory customs to come out of Detroit!
  2. I picked this up from ebay, loosely screwed together. Thought I would begin clean up and body work while working on my Mercury. Should be a fun build, plans are Low, Smooth and Pegasus wheels. The tail lights are missing, but if I can't find any I'll make some.
  3. Thanks for all the interest and comments.

  6. Thanks Ira. Here is a bit of an update.... After cutting in the license plate mount, I realized the bumperettes had to go. The pencil marks represent where the taillights will be.
  7. I like what you have done with this sled. Have you done any interior or engine work?
  8. Welcome Ron, wreck bad, morphine gggggooooooooooooooooooooooodd!

  16. Not to sure about the the lazy guys, but I have a lot of filling and smoothing to do still. I have found that getting the surface close and than priming, really helps these tired eyes see better. Thanks for the interest...
  17. That's what I'm takin about!
  18. Plast-I-Weld- from FLEX-I-FILE on both out and inside. Then Micro screen and C/A on the inside for strength. Thanks guys!
  19. The beginnings of smoothness! Still quite a bit of sanding to do, but wanted to share where we are with the body work.
  20. Thanks Rusty, that was the plan., cool but different.
  21. Help yourself, thanks for the interest.
  22. Great show, good times. Thanks for posting your pix Tom.
  23. Managed a little more mock-up... If I keep the lights I'll mold them in. The grill is from a 51 Chevy, I just trimmed the top hoop off. What ya think?
