  1. The steering wheel is on the wrong side...
  2. Thanks Fred, but I believe it is to late. There is little hope for mankind! We'll just have to keep arguing over what to call Ebay...
  3. I believe my point has been mistaken. Today's version of what the term "Rat Rod", to me any way means, is just building a "Junk Rod." Ed Roth being the true creator of the "Rat" rod and custom culture. He built some of the best customs ever produced and also many daily drivers rolled out of his shop as well. Personally I hate the term!
  4. With all the hype, chatter and BS surrounding the Rat Rod kraze. Thought I might remind everyone who the "FIRST" Rat was. Nothing old, crusty, rusty or beat about it! What we see today does not come close. Making a new Rod look old is fake, making an old Rod look new, well, that's doing something. http://www.ratfink.com/ed-roth-outlaw.php Long live the R.F.
  5. ^^^ Most likely a Wal-Mart employee!^^^
  6. This looks real good. Looks like you left the chassis is bare plastic, nice touch.
  7. I never call it evilbay any more, it's FEEbay now!
  8. Thanks guys. I was able to rescribe both sides as well. Only I glued a spacer and guide on a #11 blade and pulled it backward. Lightly!
  9. Had a little window of warmer weather so I got a good base on the Ford yesterday... Wet sanding and final paint to follow....
  10. Tried my hand at a little re-scribing. I made a template for the wings and glued a guide on the tool for the straights. Also some block sanding... And then final primer... I also plugged the holes in the "A" pillars and removed the door handles, Thanks for looking, Jim.
  11. NNL Toledo, Shenago Valley Model Club and Columbus. Half what I use to do. I find more enjoyment in the picture taking and meeting of fellow builders than any amount of trophy hording can do.
  12. Hopefully the term it self will disappear, and people will stop making new cars look old. But build old barn find types into Hot Rods. The way Grandpa use to do!
  13. I have heard of a technique used when foiling. Scribe along the trim before painting, it allows a cleaner line to follow. Have you ever heard of this? Is there a tutorial? Pictures? Thanks J2
  14. I've been doing some clean up on this one, removed emblems and handles. The tape helps me to stay off of the trim when filling and sanding. Also had to make a new ridge on the hood, the previous owner had partially sanded it off. Plenty of work to do still. Thanks, Jim...
  15. Sweet, great project.
  16. Noth'n better for the inside of a man, than the outside of a horse! They Say
  17. Good looking CAR-ral, and welcome to the show. Story on the horse?
  18. Welcome to the show, Chris! To bad about the fire, hope all is well now...
  19. I could tell you, "But then I'd have to kill you."
  20. Wonderful lines, nice fab work. I'll be following along.
  21. After months of neglect I got this one out of the packing box and decide the paint had to go. So into the purple pond it went. I also found better headers for it. I'll leave you in suspense though, pix to come...
  22. Yes it do! The whole build is looking good.
  23. Welcome to the show Fred. Perhaps you would like to share some of those photos?
  24. Good looking Racer, Mark. Even in the good old days DW had bling!
