After months of neglect I got this one out of the packing box and decide the paint had to go. So into the purple pond it went. I also found better headers for it. I'll leave you in suspense though, pix to come...

Thanks guys, my thought was because it is molded in at the rear there is no line showing a removable skirt. No reason to scribe one in except for realism, after all it is a plastic model!

​After a little research I realize in 1:1 the skirts could not come off to change a tire. I have drawn a line where the separation could be. I am thinking of a slight scribe line there. Or leave it alone? What do you think?

Managed to get a few pieces sprayed with Alclad Chrome this weekend. Here is the rear bumper. ​And compared to before... I found a few flaws in the body work so I'll be working that out before painting. But getting nearer!

Thanks for the help everyone. These tires are a little big for this build, but could be used. They are from the 50 Olds kit. But this is the look I'm after. The white wall is kind of an experiment with acrylic paint. This could work with an airbrush and a circle template.

You know I love the top! I like the reference your using also. For myself I like to see the skirts outline more than a molded in look, unless it's just the pictures.

Both real beauties. This is the look I'm after for the wheels. Tires from the Olds kit and I may try spraying the white wall. Wheels from my PB. The Pegasus set would look best I believe, I need to order some of those. I also started sanding the glue areas and have found some scratches as well. I will attempt to polish this old plastic before priming. I have heard of different ways to polish the windows, any thoughts?

I've got a few decisions to make. One I have made is I won't be doing any real cutting on the body. I am leaning toward paint and wheels right now. Thanks, J2

​Thanks guys. My parts box did not produce any thing suitable so now the search is on any help is appreciated. I would like to keep it a mild custom or even the stock lights are fine. Modelhaus is one source. The parts are in decent shape but I think I'll give them a good purple bath to be safe. Most of the blemishes are where the skirts and scoops were removed. Fortunately the glass was never glued in place! Thanks again, J2
