Thank you again. I can still do the rails, I was wondering if anyone noticed. My thought for not doing them was, it would be to much. Didn't want to be to busy I guess.
Thanks everyone! I bought this from a friend in January, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/98409-60-chevy-custom-update-7-22/
Smoothed things up a little, and used all the original pieces including the windows, they'er not perfect but I like the decals.
Questions or comments welcome and thanks again for letting me play!
Here it is, 1960 Mooneyes El Camino. Restored from an original AMT kit, Slightly channeled, mostly lowered. Tamyia Racing White, Chrome Yellow and Pearl Clear with Gloss Clear top coat. Pegasus Wheels and some BMF. Aluminium tube Bellflower exhaust.
I simply use a rice sock (Like you would use for a sore neck), heat for 2 minutes in a micro. Wrap around the can and let sit for a few. If you use two rice socks you can alternate while the paint gasses out between coats. which will keep the can warm longer and more consistently. The best part is no water to deal with while spraying. If it's to hot to handle it's to hot for the can!
Really nice weather finally here in Ohio! My bud is doing great after surgery! And from now on we should post here every time someone posts in the irk me thread! I'm pleased to have way more to be positive about than I do negative!
That was exactly the intention of the "What pleased you..." Topic. A place to offer positive thoughts and encouragement for all who would rather not focus on the negative. We all have situations that irk us, but I'd rather get past those as quickly as possible. But most Sheeple would rather complain than do something about it!
