First time going to Zanesville, had a great time at the show. Congratulations to all the winners. http://s176.photobucket.com/user/fredjames_2007/library/Zanesville?sort=2&page=1

I've not seen the real color before, but that's the reason I picked it. According to the company all paints are mixed using the original formula. I may try some this weekend.

You bet!

I only have two or three in-progress projects going. This one has been on my mind lately, I may have to move this one to the bench next.

Yesterday I discovered that a local hobby shop carries Model Car World paint. Not just a few but, they have the rights for the paint. I mentioned the color I needed and he looked it up in the MCW book. It's not a special order color but not on the shelf either. I asked how long to get it in? Since it's not a SO a couple minutes! And then he went in the back, mixed the color and came back with this... Just like the old days at the body supply.

With that helpful info, I guess the question should be. "Is the air cleaner steel or is it aluminium?"
-
Yes I did. Your gonna have fun with the decals! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/62798-greenwood-corvette-48/#comment-759115

Thanks Andy and Tom. I'm hoping to bring this one to Toledo next month... -
Coming along nicely!
-
Thanks Carl. Thanks Tom, I like the gray color on yours. It appears closer and I don't believe the cleaner would be aluminum any way?
-
Looking good man.
-
Thanks guys. Tom the instructions call for the air cleaner to be aluminum. Is this acurate ?

Thanks guys. I did raise the front and also re-arched the rear. I like the red too! Sometimes I sell models to support my model addiction!

Thank you again everyone! -
Color? I'm gonna try to mix up something that resembles Coral Sand and white. It was a factory color in 57.

Thanks guys. After cutting and adjusting the spindles and also reworking the steering linkage, I decided to leave the inner fender wells alone. I kept the rear ride height stock so the front looks good as is. But as you said any lower and the wheel wells would have to be removed.

Nice paint!

The Monogram kit. I started with several sets of wheel, tire combos. But settled on these. After that the all important stance came next. Lowering the front was a bit of a challenge but I think I got it right for this build. Gonna be a basic grocery getter.

Nice project, I like the details.
