  1. AITM. They had them without the wires before. http://aitruckmodels.com/product/airlinegladhand-set-late-style/
  2. Solder, aftermarket gladhands and wire jacket for sleeves.
  3. Clearcoated the body and began making up the trailer connectors. I have to redo the windshield.
  4. I just bought the 48. No wonder the price was lower.
  5. Working on several little details on the way to final assembly.
  6. While the paint cures I built a 409. Bought on eBay from a parts seller it has what looks like small block exhaust manifolds and slightly misshapen valve covers. However I think it does look like a 409.
  7. Beatiful rig. Love it.
  8. Excellent work. Loving it.
  9. Love it.
  10. Thank you gentlemen. It'll end up something like the Tackaberry truck in the first post. One day I'll have to go check his collection. I wonder if it is open to the public?
  11. A teaser while the paint dries...

  16. Astounding!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Now we are at the point where it gets painted, my weak point. I'll need advice from you guys. I want to do it in pearl gray with the bodyside molding in the same red as the frame, sorta the same scheme as the first two in the first post. Also, I want to Alclad the grille and surround. Here is the chicken and egg question: Do I do the body color first and the grille and molding after or vice versa? I think the Alclad is a forgone conclusion as the less it is handled the better it stays but the molding.....
  18. Cut and fitted a windshield, er.. three windshields. A major battle. Filed off the cast nuts on either side of the grille bottom and replaced them with Meng nuts. We have primer.
  19. Made up some AC decals. Didn't know whether to use the old or the new so I used both.
  20. Took the big plunge and cut off the hood. My headache rack was intended to sit on the frame but I found it didn't allow the exhaust pipes to clear the tanks. So I built a stand for it. Squared up and glues the rack. Added the quarter fenders
