  1. Working at closing up the tub floor. The cab support which was removed from the frame had the right spacing between its runners to cover the hole. What looks like a heater box with Revell script on it would hide the upper hole. However, this arrangement encroaches in the footwells quite a bit.
  2. Turned the firewall around and cut a notch across the top to clear the lip of the dash pad. I have to recess the firewall so it "straddles" the hood shut line io order for the hood to have something to rest on when shut. That required cutting the front sides of the interior tub vertically as well. Then I'll have to deal with the "warp". Squeezing from corner to corner will cure it but how to prevent it from springing back? Hot water bath then cool in the clamp?
  3. http://www.fireballmodels.info/ , Nothing but the best.
  4. The one I have above was taken off the internet, not here. It had come up with the rest of the photos of the Big Al.I looked it up and it was in a forum called Model Truck Builder.
  5. What do you guys think is in there, a V12?
  6. The firewall and cab floor need extensive reworking to fit around the rear of the engine. But we're getting there.
  7. Wow! Somehow I had missed this one. That is a fascinating project. I have to learn some of these techniques.
  8. Is it the one near the bottom of the first page of this thread?
  9. And this is how it'll look in the frame. I know, I know, I have to redo the decal, this one is about 3mm too long.
  10. Thanks muchly guys. Now if I could make the truck only one quarter as good looking as Anthony's gravel trailer, I'd be in business.
  11. Another form of Purple Power. My take on the Big Al. Hope you guys like it.
  12. Spent a lot of time fiddling, fussing, sanding, cutting trying to get the dash to fit the interior and the interior to fit the cab. getting there.

  14. Love it.
  15. Making the hookups. the exhaust pipe from the Kenworth will work with very minor mods. This elbow will bring the air intake up then another one will bring it to the rear. The air filter will be either on the firewall or across the back of the engine lining up with the vent on the driver's side of the hood.
  16. Congrats Wayne.
  17. Big Al in his brown suit. It will fit...snugly.Relocated the front engine support to suit.
  18. Love it all. I had a Model A engine given to me once which was set up on a winch frame much like yours. It had been used to pull float planes out of the water. Seeing yours brought back some memories.
  19. Thank you gentlemen. I am flattered. Today, the roofers were here so I couldn't do anything else. So I worked on the left side. Fuel filter, fuel pump, oil filler tube, dipstick and what looks like a vent pipe at the rear of the engine.
  20. Oil cooler is done. Added the plumbing. starting to look quite busy. Most of it just hanging there. It was a bit of a challenge to get it to stay together long enough to take the picture. On to the other side.
  21. Had to shorten the oil cooler . Fiddling around to set up the mounting of it.
  22. The line which goes to the water manifold at the top is more or less in the right place. The lower one I just guessed, it isn't visible in any of the photos I have. So don't put too muck stock in what I'm doing.
