Lamborghini Countach Gold Wheel Paint
landman replied to Mike Chernecki's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You don't want anything metallic, by that I mean with flakes. Perhaps Alclad gold with dullcote or some sort of acrylic gold leaf. -
Very very nice trailer. Very very nice junker too.

Put some primer "rust" on. Then realized I had forgotten the inner fenders. Installed a set from yet another kit which had the hinge holders cut off. I think we're ready to start on the bodywork & paint. Will try to do something similar to what Dan Popeko did on his '41. -

Beautiful! Any more organized I'd be afraid of touching anything. -

Work on the chassis continues. I used some old TransAm wheels, the chassis from the copper kit, the incomplete Y-block in the bag with assorted parts from my bin. The '56 body jigged up to glue the fenders to it. Found a nice '53 grille along with some nicely dirty mismatched seats. -

There was. There is. Looking at it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262446452924?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT -
I think this would make a neat project. I think the cab exists in resin. The bed could be scratchbuilt. Can anyone identify the make of the bed so I could look for reference photos, egineering drawings?

Thanks Ken. I think I'm back to my first selection with the separate hood. I should keep the tilt hood to do a hotrod with a monster motor. If I could find some fenders, I'd have the makings of a third one. -
Thank you gentlemen. Much appreciated.
