  1. Lately, between sanding sessions on the '34 Chevy I had an idea about the OM502 MB. Took it apart.
  2. Since then I have detailed the MAN 26.321 as a used but serviceable engine.
  3. After some searching, it looks like the green MB is from Italeri 3824 which is a Mercedes Actros 1854LS. Still looks like an OM series engine to me. Here's a photo of the original purchase:
  4. Here is Round 2 to use a familiar expression.
  5. FTB just completed a Ford SHO for a customer.
  6. That is a beauty.
  7. Back to square one. Time to remedy two mistakes. 1- Fill the valley/depression between the metal body and the plastic roof. Then the molding will sit level and straight. 2- Listen to Foxer and use a thinner half round.
  8. The molding is pulled, along with some paint. The body is upside down in the Purple Bath. I hope to get away with stripping just the upper part.
  9. That is more or less the plan for me too Mark. there was a dark blue J10 in our village. I was thinking of replicating that. the grille might be tricky.
  10. And there happened to be a 1928 Lincoln 384 60 degree V8 in the shop.
  11. And there it is.,the Porsche 956 ready for display at the museum to which it was donated.
  12. There is paint on her. Somehow there is something terribly wrong with that molding below the windows. Do I rip it off and try to straighten it or do I try to apply putty to subdue it? Or do I throw the whole thing against the wall?
  13. This is top flight. It will be a showpiece.
  14. I get them here, Al. https://www.shapeways.com/product/ETZUPHTUM/2-3-4-caster-set-1-24?optionId=60682084
  15. Finally.... a Honcho. No box, appears complete. Looks like it has been painted & stripped. It is copyrighted to 1981. I don't know if it was built that year.
  16. To day I got the Sloper body to go with the '39 Chevy coupe. Is there a kit that has the hood sides for this?
  17. Thanks Mike. It does look like it has wings doesn't it. I bet that once you drop into the seat of a 956 and let her rip, it FEELS like it has wings too!.
  18. Completed the exhaust pipes. Added the tips, water lines and transaxle cooling lines. Touched a few things up. It sorta looks like the picture. Next, I have to build the stand and we're done.
  19. The hood on the 1:1 has bright trim along the louvers. I suppose I could have BMF'd them directly on but I don't trust myself to cut them straight. So I added some very thin strips to provide a bit of relief and an edge for the knife.
  20. That's the same sort of decals that we see out of GM's local facility here. My old girl wasn't there for cold weather testing.
