  1. Marc, I'm currently back on the 1934 Chevrolet. That'll keep me busy for a while. And there's always an engine or two among the others.
  2. KFS has some too. http://www.kitformservices.com/tq.html
  3. You guys keep that up, my head won't fit in my hat.
  4. That is very nice. Good job!
  5. Added more reveals the upper front corner of the passenger side proved a bit much for styrene so I used #20 wire. When I shortened the roof and lengthened it again I mangled the window surrounds pretty good. I pulled the other '34 Ford body to see if I'd rather use it but I have too much work into this one. So fill, sand , file until it is presentable. It is going to be a tedious affair. At least the quarter windows will be more Chevy like even if there is less "roof" behind them.
  6. A clapped out Porsche 956 has been brought in. Its engine is shot. The owner has asked FTB to do a cosmetic restoration and to set it up like this for displaying in a museum where he has donated it.
  7. Decided to add and shape rather than try to dig & gouge that "crease" above the windshield. Started to reshape the rear window. will need to reconstruct the window reveal usin small rod. will need to redo the drip rail as well. Meanwhile, the chassis sits patiently in the shop.
  8. After well over 2 years it is a bit of a challenge to figure where I was at. I'm looking at a few issues that will have to be attended to before I proceed. The Ford windows still fit in the roof but won't go in once the roof is attached to the body which will have to happen before the paint. I feel that installing the "glass" before the paint is a risky proposition. So I made patterns for acetate windows. On October 14 2014, Gary Cook (impcon) suggested that I may have enough room to "correct" the shape of the rear quarter window. Here are the two profiles. I'm going to have to stare at this for a while before I touch it . Finally the 1:1 has a distinctive "crease" along the top of the windshield (see Thursday's post). How do I go about copying that?
  9. Thank you sir. It will be a pleasure to drive later. Currently we're dodging potholes and puddles. The local constabulary might think I spent the afternoon at the bar.
  10. X2 and then some!
  11. Since I am about to resume this build, I took the 1:1 for a ride yesterday for inspiration.
  12. Installed the parking, tail lights and hood latch handles. After the third set of windwings, I gave up and cutoff the windwing brackets and declared them optional. I had only three of the jack bumpers, one of which was broken so I declared them unnecessary as well. So it is as "fixed" as it is going to get.
  13. The set of torches bought on eBay is done and in the shop.
  14. Working on the windshield so graciously supplied by mod3lLover. I seem only have one of everything. The Plaskit clearance lights will be used for tailights. Scratching up the second parking light. I had painted them yellow in the initial build but white is more appropriate for the period. Working on making a hood latch handle. Please forgive the blur, these are rather small pieces.
  15. Thank you for the kind comments gentlemen.
  16. Enjoying this Dan. Love the exhaust/intake arrangement.
  17. FTB has cp Completed another engine. This one is a 534 Cu.In. Ford truck engine.
  18. Next is one or two engines, then maybe a restoration. the next truck may well be the Longhorn.
  19. Love it. .
  20. There it is. I may add a few more pictures taken outside.
  21. What can I say that hasn't been said. This is above and beyond. Fascinating result.
