Thanks guys. Next, we have to start looking at the tank body. What you see in the "shop" photo is the tank that Terry Hymel (Superpeterbilt) sent me. I have to build the outer structure with all the doors and panels as well as the rear enclosure.
I have had good success with painting the part either steel or aluminum then rubbing it with Usci Van der Rosten powder. Gives it the naked steel look.
The door and the fender were done like that. You can actually polish that stuff too.
Started painting the interior. Tried my hand at flocking. It was an unmitigated disaster. Added a piece of bright metal to the edge of the step in the bed and another piece of wood to the console.
