  1. Welcome Graham. If you don't know everything you'll likely learn. If you do we expect you to teach us. You'll enjoy this forum.
  2. Nice rig Mr.Williams.
  3. Assembled a pair of KFS wipers and installed them.
  4. A tank body for my R190 from Terry Hymel (Superpeterbilt) and Harry's book.
  5. Since the paint I had used on the dark blue spoon ran out I used the green one. Photos are a bit grainy. Added the rad hose and the air cleaner. It turns out the air cleaner is too long and interferes with the cowl. Needs some sorting out. Installed the wood in the cargo bed.
  6. Not a good night. Started on an air cleaner using some cigarette foil for the filter's texture. everything went ok until I realized I had one of the half round ribs upside down . The repair resulted in some smearing. I may be able to sand it down once the glue has cured. Added the battery cables and bent a radiator hose to fit. It is not in the picture as it is not installed yet. Then everything went to pot. Started painting the body and my rattle can ran out. The bad part is, I think it is discontinued. we'll see tomorrow when I bring it to the store.
  7. The young'un must be proud.
  8. Yup. You salvaged it all right.
  9. Painted the underside of the chassis. Installed the engine and hooked up the exhaust.
  10. They are resin Rob. I can look up the source if you want.
  11. I have some Humbrol pots here that are 40+ years old and are still good.
  12. The bed will be stepped, other wise it would be too shallow. Then I'll build the kit's engine with 1 four barrel and stick it in the engine collection as a 455. As far as color, I'm leaning towards the dark blue like the box image but with an interior different than red.
  13. It'll be one of those three colors. Made some patterns and cut some real wood inlays for the bed bottom. And then I have a question about the kit's engine. The cars says Bonneville 455, the box says 400 cu.in v8 and it has three carbs. Now what is it? I thought they only made the 389 with three carbs. Is the 455 similar to the 400 visually?
  14. But who would take the time to make fake kit boxes?
  15. You mean they never made this?
  16. Has anyone ever seen this?
  17. Spectacular! And the neatness....Good thing I'm not there. I'd probably drool on it.
  18. Very nice and very clean.
  19. Started to"close" the opening I had made in the passenger compartment. There will be a bit of a doghouse but not as bad as I thought. After struggling with trying to build one using scrap styrene I ended up using a piece of packaging.
  20. Dropped the front crossmember. Used the spacer that was across the front fenders and made a rear engine support out of it. It'll fit but I'll either have to make an access hatch on the dsh to reach the distributor or move it to the front of the engine.
  21. Assembled the car. I hadn't noticed the big notch in the rear of the side pipes. I think that rather than removing them I'll fill the notch with epoxy and then touch up the paint.
  22. Here's mine. I think Greta Garbo had one too.
