3rd Restoration - JeepCJ7
landman replied to landman's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The engine swap will require quite a bit of little mods. Removed the y-pipe from the exhaust system. Removed the A/C compressor from the drive belt arrangement. My Jeep didn't have it. Removed the auto trans from the six Removed the manual transmission and transfer case from the 304. Re-flanged the bell housing. Don't know why I separated the transfer case from the transmission. Lost the locating tabs in the process. Transferred it to the six. -

Hey Sean. I was planning to use the tires. As for the 3406 I was planning to use it in my engine display. -

Out of the wash & rinsed. Scratched up a compressor based on the Snap Pete's. Added some pulleys from the parts bin and a belt. -
Never thought of that. I have a few of those big carbs. Guess I have to buy another Allison.

I was thinking of these :http://www.dreamworksrc.com/catalog/Piano-Hinge-13Mm-X-140Mm, but I see The phoenix ones are even narrower. Yet Guitarsam's method appears to work great. I guess I'll try both. -

I'm terrified of wasting an expensive resin piece. I wonder which would work best Guitarsam's rod & tube method or those mimi piano hinges? -
Scott, here's the one I built. Not a "real live One' but an idea.

Still looking for small cab clearance lights. And since it is a tractor, I'm going to have to add trailer connections. Now, with a deck like this where would I put the pogo? Somewhere in the middle? Off to one side? To the rear close to the fifth wheel? And to be sure it is three lines, 2 air one electrical, correct? -
Might as well jump into the fray. The third and last of the FTB fleet. It will eventually pull the Revell car transporter. AITM cab, Plaskit spoke wheels, Snap Pete chassis, V10 engine, Paystar tanks and a few odds & sods.

We see those mules here, like the Camaro.
