  1. Yes. The first hint was in the first post.
  2. Fantastic, no end to the deatail.
  3. Sean, Gator, I kept it tandem because all the car haulers I see here are. I remember seeing some single drive tractors on car haulers but haven't seen any in a long time. Now, having said this, I'll likely see one tomorrow.
  4. Shortened the frame by about 28". Playing with configurations. Still debating about a single inboard stack or double outboards.
  5. Alittle utility room in the basement that I share with a Stand up freezer , two storage trunks and all the camping gear.
  6. Nice work Brian. What is the source of the turbine?
  7. Added an air line from the compressor. Using some styrene and the air intake tubing of the Pete I'm attempting to bring a duct to the general location of the exterior cowl mounted filter. I was tempted to build a bracket and put the filter sideways on the engine but it wouldn't look right without its external filter
  8. I'm contemplating it but I am chicken. I have bought both the rod/tubing to do them Guitarsam style and the small phoenix hinges to do them with pre-assembled hinges. I want to practise with scrap plastic first.
  9. Added a transmission support crossmember and some cab supports. It sits pretty well now. Relocated the Snap's battery box bottoms to under the doors. They will become tank supports.
  10. Looks like it is from OZ. Models 4 U. Made by Drake, or rather will be made by Drake.
  11. Thanks for the encouragement Mike. I wasn't going to quit but I don't take myself too seriously. There is some real high end builds going on here.
  12. Hey Tom, what is the source of those covers?
  13. Cut off the platform at Old Buckaroo's suggestion. The cab sits better like this, thanks for the tip. Swapped the transmission for the one that was on the 8V71 I put in my engine shop dio. Added some small angle to the insides of the frame where the platform was removed. I have to either come up with a drive belt for the fan or stick an electric motor into it. I'm thinking of shortening the wheelbase a bit. I think I will thin out the grille casting to move the cab back a few millimeters. Looks like there is enough meat.
  14. Beautiful work Ken. That is almost enough to make me want to withdraw mine from the competition. On the other hand, can you confirm this: the small lines are electrical wires and the larger one hydraulic correct?
  15. Love the term! And the work. Superb!
  16. The spoke wheels are there to match the other trucks in the fleet.(See first post). As for the Transtar pipe and filter, let's see what I can wring out of you for it.
  17. Dan I may come to you about installing the interior/firewall on this thing, at the risk of jeopardizing my eligibility in this competition by asking for help.
  18. Did some "engineering" tonight. First figured a way to use the kit's wheel backs along with my Plaskit wheels. Started looking at fitment of various components. Cab's not bad. I'll have to either lower the rear or raise the front. Will have to perform some surgery on the doghouse to allow it to come over the rear of the engine. This is with the front raised. I think the lower position will be better.
