  1. Thank you Manuel.
  2. Ok Manuel, you got my attention. In which kit is the "dead ringer" for the R5?
  3. Started on the dash and making patterns for the windows. Painted the shock absorbers. All the while I'm trying to figure out how to go about opening the hood and fenders. I have to figure a way to nail the grille to the rad as that is what will hold the swing away fenders. They are hung at the grille. The hood is hung at the cowl. So the grille/fender assembly would be freestanding.
  4. The twin supercharged 2 fours was an R5 I think. It was developed to run on the salt. Here's both an R3 And an R4. This would make a nice find.
  5. Could be. I had gone to that place to look at the white '63 in the background and there was this 57 GH with supercharger parts all over the place. I told the guy I hadn't realized the GT was R2. He said no, that's for the 57 and then he opened the hood. I bet it scoots.
  6. Eric, you should be able to find a good example to copy on eBay or go to www.worldlicenceplates.com , there is a nice one there.
  7. Beautiful job. I have a resin '62 GT Hawk waiting in line. I'd like to try and replicate the'64 I once had. I love how your R3 turned out and your interior. Years ago I saw a .'57 Golden Hawk with an R3 in it.He said he found the engine in a crate in California in the late sixties or early seventies.
  8. Look here. 235's maybe? http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/engines.htm
  9. Thanks guys. I have a few ideas that'll require some input. Stay tuned.
  10. That is right up there with the masters. An absolute delight!
  11. Beautiful job. I have to redo mine and the windshield frame is broken. Yours gives me an idea. Mind sharing how you did it?
  12. Tried my hand at box making. experimented with different techniques..
  13. Nice shots of a large vessel being moved in Alberta.
  14. Here you go Mark. AITM. http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/ck102cranecarrierhalfcab.html
  15. Dan, what is the source of the shields.
  16. Neat At one time I was going to build a yard tender. It would be easy today with the crane cab available.
  17. Here's a video I found of the same truck.
  18. This 1959 International R230 has a 743 cu.in. Rolls Royce engine in it. Apparently IH made a deal with RR to snub Cummins in the 50's. According to the article the Rolls engines weren't any good and most were replaced. The photos show before, during and after restoration.
  19. That's OK. I assumed it had been inspected and approved. I bought the house in '05 and renovated downstairs in'07. The electrician never raised an eyebrow then. So I figured I was OK.
  20. Nice. I have to learn to do that too, to get away from buying everything. My first attempt never went past the first half of the mold.
  21. Wow! Here are a couple of my humble offerings. GMC 702 gas V12, 90% scratchbuilt. Stake body.
  22. I have a complete set of Ontario plates from 1920 to the current issue hanging along the shelf in my garage. I also have all the 1967 plates over the spot where I park the Mustang. And all the 1934 plates except the Territories and Newfoundland over the Chevy. I think they didn't have any in NWT in 1934 however they did in the Yukon. It is made of unobtainium. As far as Newf goes, it wasn't a province then and the 1934 plate is horrendously expensive when you can find one.
  23. Let's keep it hush-hush.
  24. Are you planning to open the holes and glue the mesh behind or cut the whole thing out and fabricate new ribs.
  25. AITM supplies the singles. I think they're cast from the L700.
