  1. Worked at finishing a bunch of stuff I got from SBMC. Added some to my orange crate plywood bench.
  2. So realistic, the oily grime, fifth wheel grease, the new wheel.....and a thousand other details. How many did it take to get to that level of expertise?
  3. An Avanti, a '57 Ford wagon body, a Stude engine and a Lambo engine. I also got the molds for the GMC Astro 95 turbine engine. -I should have enough Stude engines to be able to build the R3,R4 & R5 trio for my display stand in the FTB dio. -The wagon body will grace my '57 which needs a redo.
  4. The shop redo is far enough along to be able to see the bench again. Finished erasing the head & parking lights. Made up a windshield. that is the part I like the least about those resin cabs, making the windshield.Although It only took two tries this time.
  5. Here's the display stand. It has a Hudson Twin H, a Z28 cross ram and a Testarossa I plan to have a different trio from time to tine just to change the background.
  6. It is still just an idea.
  7. Nice combo. Years ago I had built the Astro powered by the Huey's engine. I wish I still had it. Beuatiful work.
  8. I bought Missing Link's 62 to try and reproduce the '64 I once owned. But I think I'll leave it as a '62. I might get their 59 as well even if the '61 is my favorite finned Hawk.
  9. Beautiful. I think 50's cars need to be baby blue.
  10. Not on the road but on the facebook page where people post old photos of my hometown. An International (K8?) with a bulldozer getting ready to drive off the side. Judging by the licence plate and the cars in the background it could be 1951. I am amazed by the brightness of the colors. Most color pictures from that time usually fade a bit. I remember the contractor whose name is on the door.
  11. That is nice. Once you get in the habit of putting stuff away, it'll be great. Did you use the Lee Valley plan?
  12. I've seen his cabover but don't remember the conventional. Got to go back & look. Thanks.
  13. Beautiful. It is a good thing you have three cabinets in a row to put it on.Almost had to put an addition on the house. All kidding aside, it is vvery, very nice.
  14. That is a seriously beautiful machine. That bar keeps rising for us the great unwashed.
  15. Quite the transformation.
  16. Fun. Perfect score. Some of the alternative answers took some imagination.
  17. Sorry to hear this. Hope all turns out well. If not, then I wish you plenty of strenght and courage to deal with it. You and her will be in my prayers.
  18. Yup those. It is funny, I had to put in "Emeryville conventionals " to get them. I also contacted an old trucker friend and he said he thinks they were called 400B. All question answered, thank you gentlemen.
  19. I l0oked those up. I think that's it. Thanks Leo.
  20. Back in the 70's there were some Internationals around here that looked like Emryvilles but weren't cabovers. They had the notched side widows ans a short stubby hood. The cabin appeared soewhat high and the were nicknamed "boots". What ere they? I';ve looked all over the web but couldn't find one.
  21. La perfection même! How did you do the lettering along the sides of the trailer?
  22. Added the winch, winch mounting plate and painted the mirrors black. When I can take a good photo, I'll put it under glass. She's done.
  23. Very interesting & challenging. The odds of finding one were astronomical yet you found it. I'll be sure to follow.
