  1. Nice work Brian. I have never attempted this before. I have been looking for schematics that I understand but so far all I found makes no sense. I supposed I could do something that looks plausible but Incorrect. But ir would make sense to do it right. Any suggestions other than taking an air brake maintenance course? Maybe just buy the manual?
  2. All is not well though. Now that the front end is gone, there is nothing to hold the front of the cab up. I,Lloyd have to get the interior supported from the bottom for everything to line up.
  3. They are from a company called Phoenix, in England I think. I'll check when I get back home.
  4. Phase 2. Cuttin'er up. Phase 3. Narrowing the grille to clear the hinges and installing same.
  5. Al are we going to be treated to a group photo once the others are done?
  6. Jan, I second all of the above comments. What is the finish on the frame? I like that sheen.
  7. Worked on many little details, filing, sanding, drilling, fitting....until I went cross-eyed. No posting for the next few days as I am heading out tomorrow to see ZZ Top.
  8. Did the headlight conversion using the drill press. They drop right in.
  9. Is this an external oil filter? I see two lines running from the bottom. Would that be present only on a diesel?
  10. There you go Dan, hood is cut. I opted for the bent wire type hinge. Looks like it might work.\
  11. This is the one I mean. However the tanker appears to be about 5tons. I've look for medium truck wheels in my list ofaftermarket suppliers but couldn't find them I have seen them but just can't remember where.
  12. The 534 as installed in my N600: And in an ad:
  13. The "to do list" . There is also the line boring machine to build.
  14. Am I correct to assume that the Speedway '38 diecast would be a good base for this?
  15. Each country has its own rates which sometimes skews the fairness in a trade. There is nothing we can do about that. At that point it boils down to the fairness of the trade itself and the strenght of the desire or need. I have occasionally given more than I have received but I wanted the item. eBay, though is all over the map. I've seen one guy on eBay who charges $50 to ship a 1:25 engine.
  16. Gary, are the doors on this as nasty as in the L700? Nice job by the way.
  17. What can anyone tell me about the 1:24 Pyro classic car models? I looked for reviews but couldn't find any.
  18. That will be a screamer.
  19. Beautiful!I have to ask, was this achieved using the salt method?
