    I have this somewhat incomplete engine in my stash. It was listed as "Ford 351 Race". The valve covers have what appears to be Motorcraft over the Ford oval. The numbers on the chrome sprue are 029-4222, they won't come up on Google.Can someone help me ID it? Much appreciated.

    Enamel over lacquer is OK. The opposite would wrinkle the enamel.

    They have some neat small chains at Walmart in the jewelry dept. Mine was $12 on a small pendant.

    When I was doing my research,I found that the early engines had the spark plugs at the bottom of the valve covers.

    My headers were from the pile of junk engine. I have no idea what they were from.Here's a somewhat better picture.

    Here are the three 427's on display. I changed the location of the platform for ease of photography. It was hard to get good shots in the corner.
