So an Allison in a road going truck isn't so crazy after all.

I was just batting ideas around. Now that one might gel. Not sure what I'd put it in. Would almost have to be a cabover or an old wide nosed Kenworth.

Interesting to see that Dodge with a winch in front and it doesn't appear to be 4X4. And then again, it is sitting pretty high.

What would need to be done to stick an Allison V12 in a truck and have it look realistic and plausible? Heavy on the "look" in this case.

Why can I see only a few pictures?

I thought I'd have a crack at making some proper valve covers. I took an approach similar to Donovan's, which was to use a reduced image of a valve cover gasket as a guide, but instead of layering thin pieces I glued the image to rectangular stock and filed and sanded and filed and sanded around it until I obtained the shape. Then I glued them to slightly larger thin stock to make the flange. The GMC won't be embossed obviously but a decal.

Not seen live but stumbled across it in my truck stuff on the confuser. That is one big engine.

Having sold the 1955 331 Hemi I had on display I built this one to replace it. It was purchased on eBay along with several other engines. A cross ram Z28 302.

Were the tires pre-lettered? If not you did a geat job on them.

Bill did you drive Isleros, Espadas and Miuras too?

I built this a long time ago and never saw another one. Nice Job! There only were 54 1:1's built as well. A scarce machine.

Freight train boogie.

It is a rusty circular piece of tin with holes in it. Not sure where I got it. Thought it could be a floor drain. I suppose it should be inset a bit. It is out of scale anyway. Any floor drain that big would likely be square or rectangular.

Hi Tony, Nice to see someone else interested in the '34 Chevy. Unfortunately there appears to be no such thin as a 1:15 '34 Chevy. as you can see I had started mine using a '35 Standard diecast roadster and was well on my way to fabricate a roof out of one from a '34 Ford kit. That is until our friend Robert Sharp down under offered to build me a roof. There was a chopped version offered by an outfit called R&R (see first post in this thresd) but I understand they aren't in business any more and it is out of production. Unless you can find someone wo has one I'm afraid you'll have to scratch build it. There is however, a 1:20 metal kit of a '32 5 window. Bu that isn't what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

Here's an old workhorse. except it hasn't worked very hard. It has 788 miles on the counter. It drew duty as an airport tender. It will be restored to pull an old fashioned trailer with antique tractors on it.
