  1. Ah! That's what they mean by Decal restorer. What about the first stuff?
  2. Are you using an American Industrial Truck Model kit?
  3. I've been reading threads and watching videos on attaching decals and there seems two be two juices needed, one for before and one for after. I looked in my old stash and found those two: Gunze Sangyo MS-231 Mr.Mark Softer. I seem to remember this being "decal set". Microscale Industries liquid decal film Have I got all I need?
  4. They are in Photobucket. IIRC?
  5. I have passed the links to my two builds to a friend . He says he can see the text but not the photos. Do you need to be a registered member to see the photos?
  6. The postage. Can't really ask for anything. You mailing address of course. See PM.
  7. Made it, and the one below too.
  8. I like the 8N idea. Old dozers too TD25, AC 21, Terex with cable blade.
  9. Yup. It could use some polishing.
  10. Hessel, is it possible to buy a set of those wheels?
  11. Mike, I intend to build a Bombardier B12 some day. They ran Chrysler L-heads right up until the late fifties.
  12. Joe, I found four reds in my stash, all of them pretty close. So I might practice on the Trans Am until I get it right and then have a go at it. I definitely won't be using the "real" car paint. Too dangerous without the proper equipment.
  13. This quote thing is driving me nuts. Thanks Mike, I had forgotten about that.
  14. you may have a point there. It was thin enough for the gun but maybe not for the airbrush.
  15. I may need one of those later.
  16. Gave the car a good sanding, filled a few scratches. I'll give it another coat of primer. I've been told to use a darker one with the red. After several cardboard windshields that I couldn't get to fit, I gave up on the acetate idea and will use the one from the fastback kit. tried it in the resin body and it is good enough for me. Also, the boot came in from Modelhaus.
  17. Using up the scraps.
  18. Thanks JC. I'm going to make one of those too.
  19. I work on an old computer desk. It is kept from the wall by the baseboard and stuff keeps falling behind. I have stuff here and there in some wooden chests next to it. While those shallow drawers work well for brushes, rods, sheets etc. They don't work so well with paint jars. I decided to make some shelves that will cure the falling behind the bench thing and will keep my jars at eye level.. I have some nice silver maple I picked up at the yard waste depot. It had fallen in a storm and was cut in short lengths. Here's where I am at with it.
  20. Is that a Chrysler L-head?
  21. Any plans on here for engine stands/dollies? 1:25 of course.
  22. Tom - Yes I know it is a clearcoat. were were talking about both here, Bleche & Future & not finding any. Looks like I found my "Future". Aaron - You made the day. I have lots of Simple Green. So I'll quit looking for Bleche. Thank you. And since I have added "trim" to my body, a bath in the degreaser may detach some of that, your last comment is most welcome and was what I was thinking about. I'll sand lightly & re-prime. We'll see. Steve - Yes we have a Dollar Tree.
  23. Turns out Photo bucket was opening in"Mobile Site View" instead of what I'm used to. Anyway, here's my 409 pile:
  24. I got this:a stash of 409 parts. Some of will be used in the making of the 702. Is it just me or has Photobucket changed again. You now have to email yourself the photos you want to add. Except they don't arrive. So I used the forum thing. Looks ike I can't upload here either, it says Error 301. So no pix.
