Thanks JC. I'm going to make one of those too.

I work on an old computer desk. It is kept from the wall by the baseboard and stuff keeps falling behind. I have stuff here and there in some wooden chests next to it. While those shallow drawers work well for brushes, rods, sheets etc. They don't work so well with paint jars. I decided to make some shelves that will cure the falling behind the bench thing and will keep my jars at eye level.. I have some nice silver maple I picked up at the yard waste depot. It had fallen in a storm and was cut in short lengths. Here's where I am at with it.

Is that a Chrysler L-head?

Any plans on here for engine stands/dollies? 1:25 of course.

Tom - Yes I know it is a clearcoat. were were talking about both here, Bleche & Future & not finding any. Looks like I found my "Future". Aaron - You made the day. I have lots of Simple Green. So I'll quit looking for Bleche. Thank you. And since I have added "trim" to my body, a bath in the degreaser may detach some of that, your last comment is most welcome and was what I was thinking about. I'll sand lightly & re-prime. We'll see. Steve - Yes we have a Dollar Tree.

Turns out Photo bucket was opening in"Mobile Site View" instead of what I'm used to. Anyway, here's my 409 pile:

I got this:a stash of 409 parts. Some of will be used in the making of the 702. Is it just me or has Photobucket changed again. You now have to email yourself the photos you want to add. Except they don't arrive. So I used the forum thing. Looks ike I can't upload here either, it says Error 301. So no pix.

I tried some over half of this old Ford. It hadn't been painted but it had been clearcoated. Didn't lift the clearcoat. I'll try it on a painted one too.

Bought this today. I wonder if it is the same thing?

I have that Rolls too Bowser and it didn't survive the various moves very well. Initially, I was just going to repair it but after seeing yours, it is slated for a complete restoration. Thanks for the inspiration.

Good, because that is what my supplier has. Pat

Re. the master cylinder: are you going to have the lines and brake light pressure switch? -
I am working on a 1967 Mustang with resin body. I had washed it thoroughly in Dawn soap water to get rid of the manufacturing deposits. I used Duplicolor primer and it came out kind of blotchy, see below. The hood is different because it is styrene. I have heard of using Bleche Wite for this but that doesn't appear to be available here, same as Future. Can't find either of them. So should I strip and start again or is it safe to proceed? I realize it isn't much to go by. I might be able to provide better photos if necessary.

Again, it won't let me write below the quote. Are they all different scales from tiny to huge? You may have more than they made.

Which lens for model car photos (Canon EOS 400D)
landman replied to peekay's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ordered this one today: -
Took the Trans Am body I had primed the other day along with the airbrush, the can of paint that was in the trunk of the Mustang and set up un top of the router table. Hooked up the dust collector to it and went at it. This is my first use of the airbrush in at least 15 years other than trying it out the other day. I got this result, glossy orange peel along with a very unpleasant buzz. And that was with the dust collector sucking the overspray and wearing an organic vapors rated respirator. So that will definitely not be the paint I'll use. Rummaging session coming up.

Thanks. I'll try some.

Thank you. I found a suitable one. -
Nice job Chris. About the hinges. I looked at them on their website and can't figure them out. Are they user friendly or is it something for the pros? Do you have photos of during the build? Pat
