  1. While the paint dries, I got the engine ready.
  2. The boys seem to think it will be OK this time around.
  3. Hopefully it will stay like this.?
  4. I am pretty sure now that is what it is. I use Duplicolor primer all the time and it doesn’t do that.
  5. Raised the transmission tunnel. The back seat will hide the holes I had made to clear the wheel wells. Would have loved to use the Buick's high back buckets along with its console but the seats are too big. The optional custom buckets from the Stude kit will work. Spent some time adjusting the air intake to fit an airbox from the parts bin.
  6. Unfortunately, I don't have another one, so I'll have to make do.
  7. Is there a cure?
  8. David, did you get this fellow from the Printle Shop?
  9. Here is a better view. Come to think of it, I think it is the primer who crazed the plastic and not the black. I remember thinking it looked sort of "off" when I looked at it. Then it must be a different plastic because that primer hasn't done that before. Also had to open some areas of the tub in order for it to sit properly on the chassis.
  10. Wet sanded & re-shot. Similar but shinier. And here I thought using Tamyia would be gentler than hardware store paint. I guess I'll go back to hardware store paint even if it takes forever to dry. I wonder if shiny wrinkles might catch on as a fad??
  11. Don't have any.
  12. As usual, the paint refuses to cooperate. I used Duplicolor primer and Tamyia TS-14 and look what I got gor a result. I guess I have to wetsand to get rid of the crazing.
  13. Impressionnant M. Laflamme. Most of us will never get to your skill level but it sure is fun looking at your work.
  14. Thanks guys. I like the smell of sawdust.
  15. More fiddling with the exhaust system.
  16. One of the front "shock mounts" had pulled off when I removed the suspension from the Buick chassis.Had to make another one. Also made up a Panhard rod.
  17. I do have another hobby. Here as well, it can get expensive but most of the time I use recycled woods. It is the hardware that kills me.
  18. My thoughts exactly. No local clubs here, so the forum fills in for it and then some. Learning too, even as I near 70.
  19. Beautiful work on an interesting project.
  20. The Grand National's exhaust will be useable with the help of the tea light.
  21. Why didn't he give her a ride in the Rolls?
