  1. It's probably the Monogram Dream Rides Shelby Cobra 427 S/C.. Google is my friend...
  2. I have to agree, the fitment is amazing, no issues, tires could use a little help in the rubber department, but besides that, not much is a problem in this kit... I recommend it, it's worth it..
  3. Hello, after my Nomad project came to a end, I decided to start a Corvette Grand Sport (the 60s one, of course) I've spent the last 2 weeks opening this up and just staring at all these magnificent parts, making me want to put down the Nomad and work on this, but I finished the Nomad before my wanting to start this kit took over... This won't be superdetail, it's going to be fairly box-stock (yawn, I know) and I just want to do a good job on this. Surprisingly, the molding on this is fairly good, not a lot of flashing, good details, not bad... The chrome, as usual on a Revell kit, is not so good, but at least the mistake is somewhere you won't see; the back of the wheel I painted the spokes (I guess) flat black so they weren't so... chrome. Here's the engine, it's not done, the transmission still has to be painted, and the intake manifold, header, rocker covers, and the belt and fan still have to be put on.. Thanks for looking, advice, comments and recommendations are welcome! -Glenn
  4. Put these wheels on it! hahha Just kidding, a metallic purple would look nice on this, or maybe a blue... Looks good...
  5. The Corvette Grand Sport (the 60s verison) Thanks
  6. Be different, as you usually are with your builds ahha.. go ahead cut the roof off, it'll stand out from all the 49's out there.. what would be cool if you painted it a bright color, but with flat black accents, like all the chrome "powder-coated" in flat black...
  7. Haha, that's funny, thanks man! I wasn't really going for anything in particular as if it was a old draggin' wagon or a prostreet, I just had fun... I left the chrome un-chromeified because I think it makes it look more... project-y... thanks for telling me to get a bigger motor haha, it worked out in the end anyways...
  8. use tinypic.com no bandwidth, at least I think....
  9. Wow! Those wheels really set it off!
  10. You make my Nomad look bad.. no fair ahahha Good job, looks amazing...
  11. It's under glass! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90621
  12. IT IS DONE :D This is my AMT 1955 Chevy Nomad. It is a WIP drag setup that doesn't have all its necessities yet... (View the WIP here ----> http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90213 ) (The rear glass is not in it because the clear piece to go in it is waaayyy too small... and also, sorry for the "not-studio-quality" pictures, eventually I'll get somewhere were I can take good pictures and hopefully a better camera then my phone ahhah) Although this is not top quality of what I can do, I tried different things and I had fun with it. And that's all that matters, right? And so, it joins its fellow models on my "Favorite Models and Trophies" shelving... Thanks to those who inspired this build (1 bad55 stan) and who help make decisions in this build (W-409, johnbuzzed) and all of you who viewed the WIP (1,860 of you, wow) I hope to continue building and also posting... Thanks again -Glenn
  13. Within next hour, it'll magically appear in the Under Glass section, thanks for being some of the inspiration of this build... P.S. The rear glass is not in it because it is way too small It's a WIP car anyways haha
  14. I have the front suspension mounted all that's left is glass, and the driveshaft and that's it pretty much... Will be underglass by tomorrow for sure... thanks for stopping by and looking! Pics soon... very sooonnn -Glenn
  15. You absolutely fly through these kits! Good job!
  16. The GTS mostly ran Hoosiers from what I saw, on Google...
  17. I haven't been in modeling that long, but I remember when kits were usually around $15-20 and now they're pushing $25 at Micheal's, at least the new releases... paint used to be a buck and now it a buck and a quarter... also all the hobby shops are closing down around me, eventually I'll have no more hobby shops around me anymore, except Micheal's and Hobby Lobby (both are having price increases as well)... I don't have LHS anymore, not that I ever did, so we have to drive 30, 45 minutes just to get to a hobby store....
  18. #needsmorelow haha good job!
  19. I am nearing the end, it's actually quite surprising that I am, I have the rear and front suspension figured out, the interior is done (I've decided to make it a WIP car and not put a rollcage in, I'm saving that for a different build), the engine is mounted, frame is about to be repainted, the driveshaft needs to be installed, maybe some small decals (probably not) and then I'm pretty much done Thanks for sticking through this with me, I'll have pictures tomorrow morning Thanks again, comment, advice and recommendations welcome -Glenn
  20. Excellent!
  21. The primer was Duplicolor Dark Gray Sandable.
  22. This is a 1/25 model, I also have a Lotus '79 (1/25) as well. I got them both for $25 at a train show... These kits are both a little over 6 inches long....
  23. Congrats on your 1000th post and that paint looks excellent!
  24. Finally figuring out the rear suspension, I have the axle mounted to the frame finally, I'll install shocks in the back later. I'll have pictures later tonight when I get time to upload the photos.. Thanks for looking, advice and recommendations welcome -Glenn
  25. WOW only 15 hours??? Takes me 2 months to complete a kit ahhah
