  1. It took 2 years to build my '49 Merc, mostly weekends, but some other hours at the bench during the week. Shortly after that, I started my cab-over in 1991...still far from done. I have some other projects still unfinished since the 90's....just keep getting distracted with new ideas for builds.
  2. Bravo Blair! Well done sir. Totally unique!
  3. That looks fabulous! Nice job. I like your "style" of building cool and clean.
  4. Very cool!
  5. Excellent body lines....no sags. Unusual body style to stretch, but you've done a fine job.
  6. Looks great! You're doing a fine job on this!
  7. Just picked this kit up today. Good to know about the windshield issues. I like your colour choice.
  8. The real car is a beauty....likewise the model! Your interior is just great! Your friend will be some happy !
  9. Very cool!
  10. Being an old guy, I think gassers are cool, but the others turn me off! Just my opinion.
  11. Looks tres cool in the different light! You're adding some nice detail also. I'm a big fan of stretched wheelbase rods, so this model is quite tasty!
  12. Looks really sharp!
  13. Beautiful re-build! Your work is always top drawer. The paint is super nice. The interior looks like the real deal. And I love the hole in the spare tire well. Nicely done sir!
  14. That's some very nice work there! Engine compartment (love the bell-housing) , the stance is spot on for having no weight under the hood, and the rest of the shop looks very realistic! Real good stuff!
  15. Thank you very much Sam. PM sent. Please let me know what you require for the wheel backs.
  16. Very nice! Nice balance of white with the red.
  17. Nice traditional coupe John. Now that takes me back...although my work is nowhere as good.
  18. Nice even chop. You're off to a real good start.
  19. Both cars are really well done. The green AMT is a walk back to the 50's! Tell us about the front "nerf" bar...is it scratchbuilt?
  20. Very nice longroof! Wheels are terrific! Great colour also.
  21. Just missing the "cow catcher".
  22. I suppose there's a lot of us that bought that kit when it first came out. Sure is nice to see the old "box art". I would probably not build it,as there a lot of others to choose from. Just think of (if original sealed) the lovely smell of ancient styrene when the box gets opened!
  23. Tom. I got the pro stars from a friend a long time ago, for this very project. Unfortunately, I never got the rear backs, but I'll figure it out. The big news on a personal note, is that I'm getting back to the bench, and the ideas are flooding back on this build! Feels real good to mentally put things back in place, and try to move away from my health issues. I think there are a few kits still available that have the Pro Stars...you might have to ask around.
