  1. Looks fantastic Blair! I'm a big fan of stone buildings. This will be a terrific backdrop for photographing your great builds!
  2. Totally gorgeous! Good luck, and enjoy G.S.L.! Hope you do well!
  3. That's really nice! Your garage looks great also!
  4. WOW!! That turned out GREAT Ray!! I love it! Everything is spot on, as they say...stance, colour choices etc. etc.
  5. A terrific looking build! These big, classy cars are so beautiful. Very well done!
  6. Found these at the LHS on the bottom shelf...the '48 Ford coupe is a real POS bomb, the '31 Rolls has been started but not real bad, and the Early Iron '36 Ford has not been started, but it's all there. I think the '36 can be built, the others are questionable but are O.K. for parts if nothing else. I can live with these for $20.
  7. Stunning...as usual Harry! I really like the interior wood trim! Again, beautifully done!
  8. Thanks for looking Joel! The tailgate is also scratchbuilt as is the firewall. Today I was working on the transmission/floor doghouse. The floor is also scratched. The seat is a bench from the '41 Chev pickup, instead of the usual buckets. Wish I was more serious about getting in bench time, but it's getting close!
  9. I LOVE old hot rod pickups! Glad you're going with the shorter box. I'll keep my eye on this.
  10. This shows the scratchbuilt box with balsa floor separated by C channel with bolts. The taillights are from the AMT '49 Ford kit, with '58 Chev (AMT) lenses. Hopefully, I'll be able to use the pin stripping on the tailgate (OLD decal). Beside the box shows the scratchbuilt door panel with wood at the top and fabric bottom. Using thin clear acetate, made the door windows. They will be sandwiched between the outer skin and the inner panel in a partially up/down position.

  12. Great save!
  13. Six months ago, I was honestly near death. Today, I was able to do some household chores, get to the grocery store and had enough energy to do my laundry. To most of you, seems like easy stuff, but trust me, it's a struggle. So I'm extremely pleased to have made such progress! Now if I could just get my model building back on track.
  14. That's how I wanted mine to look like back in the 60s. Still couldn't pull it off today...your's is WAY COOL!!
  15. Hey James. Seeing this really got me pumped! Thanks for having a look at mine. That was such a great selection for wheels and tires! Looking forward to see where you take this...and trust me, I won't copy yours, although I'm loving it!
  16. I was just looking (again) at James2 version of the '34 pickup, and HAD to try the wheels from the Rat Roadster on mine. Man, they really look good!
  17. As usual, beautiful work!
  18. Looks very familiar...thought it was mine! Looks real cool with the wheels from the "Rat Roaster" . I will be watching this build for sure! (BTW... I like the tailgate leaned forward at the top!)
  19. X2!!
  20. This is progressing nicely. Cool and unusual!
  21. Sweet! Love that blue.
  22. Thoroughly agree about rebuilding an old build-up. It's like you're saving something from a terrible fate...the dumpster! I like this car and hope you do well with it. Personally, I like the sophisticated look of the grey/black colours. The dolly in your garage looks very cool!
