  1. Dear friends, after the success of the first Italeri “contest on line” dedicated to aircrafts scale models, we are proud to introduce the second “contest on line” dedicated to the fantastic world of 1/24 scale trucks and trailers. Send us by e-mail your scale models trucks pictures to photo@italeri.com, before 30th September 2012. We will evaluate them, according to the parameters indicated here below and we will publish on line our “top chart” We will evaluate your works in the following categories (from 1 to 5 points) 1 – Historical consistency 2 – Modeling skills (assembly, painting, ..) 3 – Scenario (aging, setting…) 4 - Picture quality (light and shadow, angle of the photo, absence of disorder elements ..) 5 – Supporting description (text able to describe the operational aspects, historical use and modeling details) The "top chart" will be done according to the sum of the scores collected in the categories listed above. The best scale models, together with those models who have got our interest, will be published on line with its scorecard. Italeri also reserves the right to assign to the top score scale modes, published on line, some compliments. Good luck …
  2. Big Rigs are the best!
  3. I like the Peterbilt dump truck and car carrier.
  4. He has some photos on the TMW web site forum.
  5. Nice job. I haven't seen incandescent lights on a model in a while. The wiring of the grain-of-rice (wheat) lights are of a larger gauge than LEDS, requiring more current. LEDS use thinner wires which can be made more obscure. But the grain-of-rice bulbs do cast a more realistic glow for the headlights.
  6. Welcome to the board Dennis. Those Peterbilts are fantastic. How do you create the chassis? Have you ever attempted a 53 foot van trailer?
  7. Received this from BMLA, in reference to the upcoming Moebius trailer kit: He mistakenly thought the photo of the Moebius Thermo King I posted was a Carrier:
  8. Thanks for expalining that to us Dave, for the fouth time! You are very patient.
  9. A reissue. How about some totally new Western Star kits.
  10. I saw those at a LHS some months ago. I'm wondering if they can be noticed once the primer and paints is on.
  11. I don't remember. I wasn't born yet!
  12. They are. Dragon Models has them.
  13. Fujimi offers buses in 1/32nd scale too.
  14. They are nice kits and they are expensive. But for about 150 pieces, they have a decent amout of detail. You could convert a few to North American GMC brand. They are not easy to local either. A very well stocked hobby shop could order them or you could order them from Dragon Models. Aoshima Web Site
  15. Yes, they are good kits. A high level of detail for such a low parts count. And to the poster above, the tires and wheels would be a good match for lift axles on big rigs. However, the costs of the kits would be prohibitive if you bought a kit just for that purpose.
  16. Nicely done! The NAPA Holmes wrecker body works much better on this era of truck than the newer design Century would have. A 1970s heavy weight!
  17. I wish they had offered a kit Mack Ultraliner.. The resin cabs fall short.
  18. Fantastic work! Did you use the De-Elegant Models, Freightliner Columbia has the basis for this project?
